Reflecting on my transition and being at Susan's. Susan's Place has helped me focus on the direction I wanted to go. Learning things I didn't even know to question. Having close relationships with friends both online and in person has given me the confidence to be who I am. If Susan's Place had not been there for me, I don't know were I'd be.
Though I've only been a member for a short time, I've felt the warmth of family here. Some have experienced something that has given me more focus and a chance to make a difference by being welcomed by me as a greeter here. I try to be positive and show hope. Giving that can mean the world to any new member with the scared thoughts we all have had.
Any interaction between each member is a growing and learning experience that goes both ways. I have learned more, I think, than I had to share. Hopefully I can share what I have learned to those who ask.
