So it's been six months since I have gotten ffs with dr Z. and I'm still very unhappy with how it turned out. I don't like how he did my jaw, chin or forehead and I still look very masculine (even with my already huge body).

Is there any end to this sadness because I'm thinking of just giving up.

sorry to hear

I understand why you did not post pics, but what do your friend and/or family say about the results?

Does Dr.Z have some sort of satisfaction guarantee?

I'm not just saying this but your face is very beautiful and feminine in my eyes I was expecting to see a masculine face. I showed my friend those face pictures and she said you are very pretty and I told her it's an ffs result and she didn't know. Your eyes and nose are very feminine and your lip looks perfect and lifted I think your face as a whole looks really nice. I think us as trans women are always more hard on ourselves which is ok at times but we should all find ways to think positive and think about the things we like about ourselves. I'm getting FFS with Zukowski this summer I would be happy if my results were like that. My face isn't that masculine but without makeup it seems a bit harsh sometimes

I see a mid to late teenage girl in those pictures. I think it would be a mistake to have any more surgery because you would risk trading perfection for an over operated appearance. In my own case, the only work I had done was to clean up my nose by removing a bad notch. It took me nearly 2 years to see my own face as feminine so don't be to quick to judge your face. Others see you as female and that's what's important.

Dear Angie,
I hope I don't seem to be dismissing your feelings, but I think you like very feminine, very pretty. We are always toughest on ourselves, I think. Have you been misgendered in public?

Hi Angie,

I think that you look great.

You have a similar 'Z' nose to mine which suits you but doesn't suit me.

Do you want to pm me?

But I can't talk much as I am off to Spain on Thursday to mid April.

Hugs

Paula

PS. Dear Moni .. How right you are about being tough on ourselves !!!

That's because I take heavily curated photos.

Yes he does but only if the revisions required are within his expertise or he wishes to do them.

You look female, no doubt in my mind! I say it how it is. I'm very honest, sometimes too honest. It's all in your mind. No surgery can change that.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

Hi again Angie,

A friend of mine said this when she saw your latest foto that you posted earlier today.

" Hmmmm ... Personally I think she looks fine ... the pic which she's not happy about looks a bit like she's pulling a face ... I'd be curious to see a video or in person. But, yes the nose looks very 'Z'/early 2000's. I was watching a programme recently and the fashion is for a more Katherine Princess of Wales nose, ie straighter, not scooped. Personally I think the most important thing is symmetry, proportionate to the face and no obvious lumps and bumps! The rest is just preference.

I have had 2 rhinoplasty's... And my nose wasn't straight or lump/bump free. Dr Zukowski did a much better job than the UK surgeon."

So I guess technology and techniques move on! It can be a nuisance if you're an early patient and things improve!

Angie, hope this helps.

Hugs

Paula

Angie, from my point of view your chin and jaw look very feminine. Your face overall looks very feminine and very pretty. Whatever it is that you perceive as masculine is something that definitely is not in these photos. Could it be the forehead?... I can't tell because it is always covered with the bangs... I mention the forehead because it is the area of the face where more often Dr. Zukowski's results are not as good as they could have been because he doesn't use the type III technique. Some profile pictures with the bangs pulled up would help.

Great post Celia,

Also Dr Z's surgery entails a lot of soft tissue working as well as bone work and as a result swelling can take up to 18 months ( even 2 years ) in some cases to fully settle down.

I will not put my just post-op foto taken after 8 hours of surgery as I was sitting in the famous black chair of his because it's too hard on the eyes.

It took at least 15 months before my swelling finally went down.

How are we suppose to tell anything from fishbowl  stylized pics?  If you want to get opinion you should take more realistic pics, lift up the bangs ect..
