can your attorney coerce the pain as well?

I could ask her...but I kinda don't think so :)

Yes it's painful, but there's a purpose. And with each passing session it hurts a little less each time. There are now fewer dark hair follicles to be burned away!

Dental block shots then have your electro lady go fast is easy. I did that today, 2 hour pleasant session. Any dentist can give you 4 shots to completely numb your upper & lower lip area.
mtF, mid 50's, always a girl since childhood, HRT (Spiro, E & Fin.) since 8-13. Hormone levels are t at 12 & estrogen at 186. Face lift & eye lid surgery in 2014. Abdominoplasty/tummy tuck & some facial surgery May, 2015. Life is good for me. Love long nails & handsome men! Hopeful for my GRS & a nice normal depth vagina maybe by late summer. 5' 8", 180 pounds, 14 dress size, size 9.5 shoes. I'm kind of an elegant woman & like everything pink, nice & neet. Love my nails & classic Revlon Red. Moving back to Florida, so excited but so much work moving

I had 6 sessions of Laser. It thinned it out, but I still have to shave. Strangely, what is left is coarse and jet black. I thought the Laser was supposed to eliminate the coarse black hairs, but it appears it removed all my blonde and ginger hairs instead. My sideburns are almost completely cleared and my upper lip had pretty good clearance, but I still have a moderate amount (less than before Laser) on the chin itself.

I have tried the Silk'n, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I also have a home electrolysis kit which works, but I can only do one hair at a time and you have to hold the probe in the follicle for a while to actually kill the hair, so it would take an incredibly long time to eliminate everything.

See a real electrolysis. They are everywhere. Boo coo cis women have facial hairs, far more that we would suspect. Hair is hair, electro ppl do not care if M or F, it's just hair to them to kill. Nothing else kills them, wasting your money on other stuff.

I had 8 sessions of laser... Took close to a year, since appointments need to be spaced out. I have fair skin and dark hair, so I was the ideal canditate for the machine they used  (Alexandrite). I had 2 of those sessions on YAG because supposedly it's safer to crank up the joules on that machine, since it's designed for people with darker skin... that was a waste of money for me though...
It's been a year now and I haven't really experienced any kind of regrowth. I get a few straddler hairs on my upper lip every other week, but I just pluck them out. I'd consider waxing like other women but it really is just the same hairs growing on the same spot, 30 seconds and a pair of tweezers takes care of it.
Personally I feel hair removal did more for my transition than even HRT... it really changes your skin.

PS: I'd make sure to already be on some kind of AA when starting.

If you're well past puberty, not going to make a difference for facial hair. Start hair removal ASAP.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

This has been absolutely true for me as well. Also, now that I don't have to use makeup to cover up the beard shadow, I can use a lot less and do a more natural everyday look. And that makes a huge difference!

So, as I begin to look better, I realize this facial hair is a burden that Im about over

Id like to know some real life experiences of those of you who did it.... and details

Did it work and how well?
If in the USA, what did it cost and how long did it take?
Pain level?
Scarring issues?

I guess I just need some hard facts to get me ready to jump, sadly I will need to sell something very dear to me to get it...and I dont want to do this if its a crapshoot

Im 47 and have medium density full coverage with slight graying if I would let it grow out
Im one week into HRT at the moment

thanks ;D

I had what could be described as a very 'unhairy' face. Still I was always amazed at how hairs would pop up when I didn't think there was anything. All told it took me about 3 years of working at it very steady to get to the point where I could say, that's it I'm done. I used blend, about 10 seconds per individual hair follicle. It takes time for dormant hairs to pop back up. This was about 15 years ago now. I haven't put a razor to my face in that many years and haven't had to worry. So 15 years is pretty permanent to me so far.
