Ever had one of those weeks where you wonder why you even bother.  Geez... sometimes I think that I work with the biggest bunch of knuckle heads in the world.  Here I am working my butt off (yeah I know - good for weight loss), doing interviews, training new drivers, sorting out safety issues, trying to get the newsletter ready for Friday, and the others around me fritter away the day wasting time on the phone.

Anyone else have days like this?

Hmmmm that feels better...

Do not even get me started on this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do all the opening prep so that the day/swing can concentrate on customers.

Do you think that the night shift could get off their lazy GD lead a$$es and leave me with less to do?

The only consolation is that several people have mentioned how nice it is to come in and find everything done and work ready--yea maybe 2 out of 20 have.

THis school year has been like that!  I am never taking the department chair position again!  I've already told my principal to find someone else for next year.

Administration redid the schedule, so we lost 17% of our contact time.  I have meetings being scheduled during the help/activity period, so I'm having difficulty getting my kids to pass.  I have a teacher in crisis.  I am rewriting the midterm because the other Earth Science teacher did not get quite as far as my students.  (Only 1 unit behind!  :icon_yikes:)  THe last of the department budgets wa handed to me an hour before I had to meet with the High School & Middle School principals ... but that meeting didn't happen because it was scheduled for the middle of a class and the secretary forgot to reserve a sub for me.

Klingons in the quadrant.  Tribbles in the corridors.  It's enough to ruin your whole day!

Try working for the public service I can't believe the number of people who see work as a melding of coffee and smoke breaks, (at seperate times) and morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. When they are there they are as you say Steph on the phone. Gee!!!!!

Just to be contrary here, I work with two fabulous women who are always looking to do more than their share and who are also a lot of fun to be with

Ha, most people at my school are morons who never do any work, but at least most of them won't be in my A level classes in September. :) Well, I'm doing Physics and Further Maths, which even if they take won't be bothered to try at, and then they'll get kicked off. It's good to know that one day the chav morons might end up as my employees... >:D

Yes, definitely.  This week has been non-stop for me, which is why this lazy Saturday has been so nice.  :)  And I'm going to spend some quality time on the couch tomorrow watching football.  ::)  I despise laziness and incompetence as much as the next person (probably more), but have also realized that for some people work isn't a big priority in life and they don't feel the need to do anymore than the bare minimum.  *shrug* can't really fault them for that, not having walked a few miles in their shoes.  But anyways, it's nice to know I'm not the only one out there with these frustrations!  Thanks Steph.

All the best,
Joseph
