Is brain damage possible from forehead surgery?

So I've been looking all over to see if it's possible to get brain damage from forehead surgery.

The doctor said it isn't possible unless someone would do something totally incompetant.

And I can't find anything about it in google.

But how come there is no possability of brain damage when the sinus bone is removed in forehead reconstruction leaving the area exposed? Also, can't the work on the skull and exposure of the skull cause problems with blood flow while doing the work or create concussions?

I'm probably unreasonably scared of this possability, but I'm just really scared about my brain, having family members with dementia (I know that's something else) I'm really afraid to ever be in that kind of state.

Do you hae a feeling this process is for you and you trust the surgeon ?

Concerning dementia there are studies which show a connection with heavy metals and aluminium.
There are detoxing nutritients, and there were successful treatments with high doeses of vit c.
You might talk about it with a dctor or a nutrition specialist.

I trust the surgeon is a good surgeon, I'm just wondering if there ever was a case of brain damage from forehead surgery and/or how come it would not be possible to get brain damage from forehead surgery?

forehead work is done on the anterior wall, the posterior wall separates the frontal sinus from the cranial area.  The brain cavity is never exposed.

It is not possible because the brain is never exposed but always hidden behind bone. Just take a look at the human skull and where the brain is.

Please choose a good Doc and explain your fear to him.

Concussions would be very difficult to get from this type of surgery. The brain floats inside your head and a concussion happens when the skull stops or starts moving fast and the brain collides with the skull. Your skull wouldn't be moving enough in that type of surgery for the brain to be injured.
