Hi. I'm new here so I hope I'm posting this in the right area. I'm FtM and planning on changing my name before college and am having trouble picking one. I like the name Zachary and Misha. My mom says Zachary is too common and Misha sounds like a girl name. I told her its not. I thought about combining the two. She would like me to use the middle name Kohler but I'm really not to keen on it. I love the name Misha because I think it's unique and not trendy or common but I'm afraid I'll be mistaken for a girl even though I pass all the time. The last name is Britt. Thanks for your time.

I think Zachary or Zack is a really nice name ;)

Misha is way too feminine. Zachary is a pretty common name with FTMs and pretty safe, though it wouldn't be my first choice... I love Kohler, but you could change it (as a middle name) to Cole or something like that.
Zachary Cole Britt sounds nice.

I'm used to Misha being a male name. I didn't ever realize that the majority of people thought it was feminine. The reason I like Misha so much is that my dad would call me baby bear when I was little. I read somewhere that Misha or Mishka meant little bear. I'm not sure if that's correct though. My dad also likes the name Dmitri. I'm gonna stick with Kohler though because it's a family name on my mom's side.   :)

Many people who are outside of Europe get confused with M\F names.  Misha is a Russian name which means something on the line of "God Like."  Since it is a Russian (Slavic) name, your father's tendency of calling you "baby bear" while young is cohesive because Russia is "The Land of The Bear."  Personally, I like both.  However, to avoid confusion with others, Zachary would be the safer choice.
