I have been with my company about 3 years now so am now eligible for health coverage for tg treatment as you have to be employed for 2 years prior to starting treatment.  I just received a transfer to a new position for a job that is now all telephonic with no direct patient contact working from home.  I have an appointment with my endo on may 3rd that i will have to take time out for where as before i would just go and they wouldnt know.  I have not come out to anyone.  Should i tell them the reason or just request time off.  I am scared that the endo wont start me on hormones yet and coming out now would be premature.  Just looking for your thoughts.  Thanks
As Brett Michaels said Every Night Has its Dawn :)

I really have no idea how this whole employer based health care thing works as we don't use that system in Australia, all the same it might be worth waiting to see what the endo says. On the other hand, if they don't start you with the first visit it will most likely be the second so why delay the inevitable?

If you need a reason for time off, say medical appointment. If you take all time off as personal time, then you don't need a reason. My company ended all medical leave and switched to so much personal leave a year that you could take for any reason.
