What can I enjoy that also gets me out of the house?

I'm a young adult, but I feel like a miserable bum. I have little in my comfort zone and want to expand myself into newer situations. I picked up coding/web development a few days ago which is really great, but it doesn't really offer any real opportunities to get out of the house and expand my comfort zone.

Should I just ask this to my counselor instead, or do you have any inspiration?

Bird watching/wildlife. I also rediscovered motorcycling after a near 30 year break

Photography, painting, drawing, cycling, volunteering, drama groups,

With the latter two you would meet new people and make new friends, and drama groups tend to be very LGBTIQ friendly as well.

Attend open mic nights at the local café...just listen and enjoy some music and coffee.

If you live near water sailing is awesome!  It's a great skill, it's interesting, peaceful, but adventurous.  They have classes in any ocean or Great Lake and sailors always need new deck hands for racing or crushing.

Finding new routes and ventures to hike, especially well with a group of friends.
Skateboarding, biking, rollerblading all do not have to be competitive but even just going for a ride. Also on the note of hiking yet more exhilarating, could be mountain biking.
Rock climbing, or going to archery ranges.
Or stuff on the other side of the spectrum...
Gardening, star gazing, wildlife spotting.

Anything sparking an idea?

My life motto: Wake Up and BE Awesome!

Museums, art galleries & historic buildings are great for getting out. Local history has always fascinated me, since I got my bike I've discovered many interesting museums, galleries & historic buildings.
Classic car & bike shows are always worth a look. I always check out classic Harleys (especially Sportsters & K models) & Triumphs & American muscle cars( and the Aussie cars) & the big British 6 cylinder Fords & Vauxhalls at shows
