How do describe what makes you or me a woman? I heard HRT is a very small part of this. I could very feminine physically on the outside but, inside lost to what is definitely feminine. For me I know I want my external side to reflect how I feel and perceive myself as a female inside. That being said how do I describe my womanhood to the world. Alot of the rest of the world sees me as man with breasts, soft skin and long hair. I heard many transgender MTF describe their transitioning as attuning their emotions and thinking to being female. We have lost years of socializing as girls/women making us as sometimes clueless. I just know I am going to be ask some day why I think I am a woman! All I can say is I know I am. Please respond to these thoughts.

A woman is someone who calls herself a woman. No more, no less.

No one has the right to police someone else's gender. Only you know your gender. If you know yourself to be a woman, than that's what you are.

Yes, it's that easy.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

The way I have always envisioned an answer to this particular question (or what makes a man a man) is sort of drawn out, but makes sense in the end.  If someone says "you have breasts, you are a woman."  Then what happens when that person has a mastectomy?  Is she no longer a woman?  If they continue with "alright, but you have ovaries and a uterus."  Said woman has also had a hysterectomy.  Is she no longer a woman?  Now the clincher comes down to is it chromosomal or is it hormonal?  Chromosomes do go awry which causes abnormalities.  Hormones not only affect the body physically, but also the brain\mindset of a person.  If a male has the so-called "man boobs", does that make him a woman?

To make it brief, the above answer is a much more simple and exact answer.  However, if you really think above the above scenarios, that is something which could be used with someone should the topic arise in conversation.

I was never able to visualize my own soul until I resolved decades of internal conflict by coming out to myself and admitting to myself what I am.

But now I know.  My heart and soul are pure femininity.

My body is a work in progress.  But getting there slowly.

A woman is first and foremost a human, which means, on balance, being much more mind than body (at least compared to other animals). Since mind is such a huge part of who we are, having a female gender identity is sufficient to classify us as women.

Femininity is more complicated, but I would say it's some combination of identities that emerge from being a human on estrogen or emulating humans on estrogen.

I sometimes in my headspace get really stressed about this sort of scenario. I think 'what if someone confronts me about my gender what do I say??' and the more i've looked at the worries i've realised that i'm feeling guilty in the scenario..like there's something wrong with me/my existence.
However i've had the epiphany that I don't owe anyone an answer to that. I don't have to justify and explain my existence to others. So they should F off!
