Cindy

After visiting my partner I went to the stores for the weekly shop.

Driving along a car came flying from the left, through a stop sign and missed me by maybe half a metre? The people in the car, all young men, gesticulating with fingers, presumably as an apology for their bad driving.

I was shaken and continued, the very next crossing a car came through on the right, again though a stop sign. I didn't have a hope.

Fortunately they managed to stop almost touching my driver door. It was centimetres, I couldn't open my door they were so close.

Very shaken I managed to get to the shops and did my groceries.

I got back to my car, loaded my stuff and then thought.

I'm going to buy a lottery ticket.

Does luck come in threes?

We will find out tomorrow.

A shaken but not stirred Cindy.

Good luck in the lottery! Gotta stay off those Adelaide roads if you want to live!!! Glad you're OK and that you and your car unscratched.

Wow, Cindy, that must have been terrifying. If you were just "shaken" after two of those in quick succession, you're a rock of calm and strength.

That stuff is happening more and more often over here -- I've noticed recently that at a four-way stop sign, a lot of people don't proceed until they see that the car coming from the side is actually stopping.

Good luck with the lottery...

Cindy, did you check to see if someone painted a bullseye on your car?  Glad you're ok!
