This is currently one of my favorites things about HRT at 6 weeks in

All my life I felt as though I "stunk".... I would take 2 sometimes 3 showers a day and wives/GFs would assure me I did not stink, but too me... I thought I did.

Now, I love how I smell.... I can even go 2 days without showering, and wear clothes for 2 days or more without smelling anything but "cute" even without any scents and just regular old ivory soap.

And I dont get all sweaty anymore either.

My mental state is the best it has been in YEARS, I feel and see things that I was oblivious too, all I ever saw was negativity it seemed. Ive done a complete 180 in my mind and even when I feel crappy, its short lived and I dont dwell on it.

I wish I could say I had alot of physical changes, but I havent, the dysphoria is nearly gone and I think my face is a little more fem, even my wife noticed that. My hair on my head OMG... its so much nicer, fuller, softer, healthier...Im still seeing MPB but what I have is better and I still think some fine stuff is trying to come in up there.... crossed fingers

Facial hair, comes off so much easier with a quick shave and stays smoother longer, yet I still wake up to sandpaper, but it seems to pop up about 2 hours before I wake up, rather than 2 hours after I shaved!

Body hair, well arms and feet are pretty much great, chest and back are better than before... I used to have to mow grass every day, now I can deal with it for 3 days or so before it freaks me out.

I swear my boobs are bigger, but I think Im just losing weight under them, I have no nipple sensations, no pains. The weight seems to come off easier now or at least its starting to migrate lower... which is great for me.

My sex drive is dying which I am not happy about... I enjoy a great orgasm often and well, that aint happening and it makes me sad

Thats about all I have to report right now ;D

HRT certainly does reduce the dude-smell. But I also find that less body hair, whether it be through shaving waxing or HRT related thinning also plays a significant part. The bacteria that causes a lot of body odour likes to hang out on hair shafts where sweat generally collects and have a smell party.

You are about 2 weeks ahead of me with hrt. I love it when you post updates. I kind of get to see what is around the corner for me.

I haven't noticed any significant changes in my scent yet but then I never had a very strong odor as far as I know.

My dogs have been acting a little strange sniffing at my face and arms.

Otherwise ditto, I just noticed today my leg and chest hair growth has slowed down.

Oddly enough I can also concentrate on tedious tasks with more patience, this has surprised me

You're in the time period where, for me, libido bottomed out. Maybe somewhere around the 3 month mark it started slowly picking up steam again. My advice is to not try to rush or force anything if you can help it.

I'm really glad you're happy about the other changes though, if I remember you were rather trepidatious just before starting (weren't we all).

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Thanks ;D

I havent been posting here much lately

I have also found a gender therapist, hopefully that will help me get things straight. Funny thing is at this very moment I do not wish to "become a woman" I just want to be myself... whatever that is.

I can't say my sex drive has been adversely affected by HRT but reduced, yes. I am post-op, have very low levels of T. I think estrogen plays a part in maintaining my libido but hormones are not the only thing affecting sex drive either. Some women report increased libido on progesterone and other forms of progestogens.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

I think the greatest thing about my T level dropping was the no longer stinking like a guy. It oozed out of every pore in my body.
