So after being on HRT for 7 weeks now, I find myself experiencing many odd feelings and with me being a anxious hypochondriac, its really kicking me in the "stuff" as far as relaxing and enjoying the ride. We are all pretty aware of the normal good things that HRT brings, but what about all the strange feelings, jitters, pains, the weird stuff. I dont like to ask every time, and since many of us are on informed consent, we dont just get a chance to say Hey Doc...?

I mean I still have six more weeks till I go back in.

I wish there was some reference as to these are the odd things you may or will feel while on or beginning HRT, and maybe even the things we can do to offset or deal with it.

I mean things like

Fainty feelings, lightheadness
Muscle aches, pains, twitches
How boobs feel when they start growing
sadness, mood swings, tiredness
other weird feelings or sensations that we may see or feel

I think it would make a good topic and reference for those starting out and wondering whats happening to their bodies

Id appreciate if the responses were more upbeat, not the "You know, this particular feeling could mean that you will die in 15 minutes, or it could mean you have to poop" ::)

thanks

Fainty feelings, lightheadness

I've been on Spiro for two months (E starts in 8 days  ;D )  When standing up from a seated position I get lightheaded a lot.  Looking that up on the Internet (because we all know what's on the internet is true - right?), actually multiple sources, Spiro can cause this.  Typically from not drinking enough water and/or not enough salt.

I kinda believe them - when I've been bad and not had enough of either, standing up is a slower process than normal or I'm sitting back down again.

Alcohol will definitely hit you WAY faster (at least for me) and take longer to metabolize out.

Yes, I had the fainty feelings, just lightly the first 2 days on spiro. Now its more random and now and then

If your muscles are constantly twitching, aching/spasming, better get your electrolytes checked out asap and don't wait until the next check-up date. The electrolytes are so, so, so important (esp. potassium if you're on spiro) and when they are too high or too low, it can potentially be life-threatening.   :-\
