Hello everyone!

So, I'm an 18 - turning 19 soon - year old transguy. I just recently came out to my parents, but that's about as far as I've gotten in my transition unfortunately.  :-\  I don't really have much of a story tbh?  I draw a lot and I really enjoy learning and being with animals! Music is really important to me (as cliche as that sounds). Copeland, Teagan and Sara, 21 Pilots,

Alsooo - I haven't decided on a name, and also wanted some advice on long hair. So, I was wondering where I would ask questions like that on here?

I look forward to getting to know ya'll :)

Welcome to Susan's Place. The guys tend to hang out in the FTM transsexual area of the forum so that might be a good place to start with your questions. You are free to post anywhere on the forum that you feel comfortable as the forum is sectioned only to keep the areas of interest in one place. There as been a tread or two not long ago where hair length was discussed but not in great detail. Should at some point you desire to change your screen name, Ask a moderator but there is a restriction of no duplicates. Should you have any additional questions, post them on this thread and you will get a response from somebody as this is a pretty active site.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

Hello and welcome  :)

Here are a few resources that might help you :

If you are FTM for names you might look here:

http://www.thetransitionalmale.com/Names.html

Imo its not necessary to set you apart if you like a name ...
I'd say listen to your intuition ... often a name comes up that sticks ... from stories, or from other people ... etc ...
for fun you might read up meanings on urbandictionary , just ignore rude comments.

Concerning hair there are also threads for people asking how they pass.
And you might simply ask in a thread for hints.

hugs

Hi Elinor and welcome,

I'd love to hear more about your music taste! Right now it feels like I already listened to everything there is and the world seems so grey without good music!

Hello! Hm, well, I guess I'm more into like pop-punk and alternative music? Tegan and Sara, Purity Ring, 21 Pilots, Gorillaz, Copeland and Sir Sly are some of my favorite bands atm! :)

Thank you for good music, we have similar taste, I guess. You saved me from listening to the same old songs again :)
