I really wish there were more resources! If you look back a while on these forums, you'll find some I'm sure. But before/afters are hard to come by. You'll have to go to a consultation to see them. They charge $250 which is applied towards surgery or any other procedure you might get with them. The consult is about an 1 1/2 hours and Dr. Ousterhout will be there as well. He's apparently expensive but you know, when it comes to FFS, if you can afford more, it's worth it. This is not the kind of thing you want to go cheap on if you can help it. Having met his patients before, I can vouch for him, especially the forehead scar, or lack thereof because he did such an amazing job. My only regret is not having had enough money to go to him.

My parents said they will get a loan if necessary - my mum is especially adamant that we get the best surgeons. We both share the same fear of something going wrong and having to live with it for the rest of my life. I'm so blessed to have that support and very grateful.

I think Dr Deschamps-Braly is officially at the top of my list! But will Dr Ousterhout still be working as much in 2018? Hmm.

Yup, no more, he's gotten pretty old. He does however do the consultations with Dr. Descamps-braly still, for what it's worth.

Ellement_of_Freedom - That's really kind of your parents. I traveled abroad for my ffs which had some downsides. I loved Buenos Aires but the traveling did bring along some unnecessary stress. However, when I add the revisions which I will be doing soon, paying for flights there and back twice, apartments, travel expenses, etc, it did make me question whether I should have taken out a loan so I could get it done here in SF at a hospital literally 15 minutes away. Live and learn, I suppose. Best of luck with whatever decision you make Keep us posted!

He wasn't there for me but I also didn't schedule far ahead of time.  Its possible if you schedule far enough ahead they make sure both doctors are there to talk to you.

2018.  Probably not.  Almost definitely not.  Because their plan was 2 years of coordination.  Which are basically up now.  Talking with Deschamps he was very vague about Os involvement at this point (he described it like Dr. O kind of shows up when he feels like it now rather than having a set schedule of coordination...) but its possible O will still be there with his intellectual assistance in 2016 at least.  But maybe not.  I didn't feel it was necessary to grill Deschamps on whether O would be assisting because when it comes down to it Deschamps will be the one doing all the work so it should be him you put your trust in.  Dr. O is retired..

I think you can get a personal loan for anything if you have good credit and the capacity to pay it off. I think there are companies dedicated to providing finance specifically for surgery.

I had a consult with both of them together last November about a revision for my previous FFS. Guess Dr. Ousterhout completely passed the torch to Dr. Deschamps-Braly. Hope yours went well.

I had a trache shave with Deschamps back in December. Lovely experience and I plan on going back for more in depth facial work. I never once met Dr. O during my trip, it was all Deschamps by that point, from what I understand.

I had a consult with Braly recently and Ousterhout was not present for the consultation.

What were you looking to have done? And if it's not too personal might you PM the price they gave you?
