These folks are through the phase three trials for an oral testosterone product and are working on FDA approval now. There were some concerns about their dosing recommendations not matching the ones used in the trials,  so they are meeting to get that worked out.

The current oral testosterone in the U.S. is methyl testosterone, and that is the one associated with liver damage at the kinds of doses needed for transitioning.  (Oddly enough we mostly use it in postmenopausal people.) This new one is a prodrug, which means that it is broken down into testosterone in the body, so hopefully that will help protect the liver.  Keep your fingers crossed :)

Fingers crossed! I don't think it's something I would personally want to use, but I think the increased competition may help to drive down the cost of topicals which many people would prefer.
