Thanks for your comments and kind words, I would welcome more from other members  :)

I think I am kind of lucky, I don't have the typical brow issues and zero Adams Apple. I also am regularly taken for less than my 55 years which is nice!
Wynne, you look lovely. Short hair works for you.

Well, this is pretty embarrassing because there're so many gorgeous girls here and I'm pre-everything (I've only recently dared to go dancing as a female). But since I don't have any trans friend in real life I feel like I need to share this bit of myself with you girls :), so here we go:

You've got a great skeleton, and so much hair -- that style really works for you.  Good job with your makeup, too, though I think your lower eyelids could be more precise.

Facially, I think I can detect some beard shadow -- have you begun laser/electrolysis?  I also think you'd benefit greatly from FFS -- your chin and nose are both fairly broad.  Your forehead has a nice shape, but your hairline is a bit high, and your eyes are very deep set.  All that said, you have a ton of potential. :)
What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it.

Hi all. I had posted this last month, but I think because of a little battle going on about the tone of this thread it got lost and I didn't get hardly any feedback, my apologies to you that have seen this before.

It had been a while since I had posted....This is me at 9 months HRT, 55 years old.

The second photo definitely passes for me. The first one, I'm not sure what's bugging me, but it might be the difference in how the more professional clothing offsets your face. There's an actress that has a similar haircut to you, although I am horrid at remembering names and can't remember who it was for the life of me, but you look a lot like her in the second photo. :)

Pre-everything? Damn, girl. Would not have guessed. You look awesome. :)

Hi Wynne,

I have to be honest, you are not passing for me in these photos.

One area I would suggest is the hair. In these photos, your style is short and could be worn by either a man or woman - therefore it is not pushing the image toward "female" in my mind. A long feminine style is one of the best ways to cue the viewer's mind that they are looking at a woman. You might try experimenting with a wig or extensions and see what the result is.

I hope that this is helpful!

Could I pass? Do you think I should get FFS?

To be honest: I think you can, but you need to put more effort in it. Being female requires more effort. You have nice skin, but I still see some beard shadow. Removing that beard shadow will drastically improve your appearance. Instead of much color, you could try some natural looking lipstick, or lip gloss. If you shape your eyebrows, you would look better. Your nose looks fine, in the range of female. Eyes too.

So if you take these tips, and put on something nice (what clothes you dream to wear?) and show a big smile, and then post that picture here? I think it would be a world of difference!

Short hair works very well, and you definitely pass to my eyes.

Hi SoraKat,
Looks like you're starting to come along.  I'm curious to see what you look like after a year of HRT and hair growth.   I think you have a lot of potential.

First time using makeup, managed to make my eyes look different to one another. I'm pre-everything, any advice is welcome.

Very beautiful lips. Nose is fine, I also love the short hair. I think a bit effort on the eyes/brows would be good. Plucking underneath your brow would make a huge difference.

Thanks a lot for your compliments and advice :). I'm glad my makeup looks well, I've very recently started using it so I still feel like I have a lot to learn. I'd like to get better at eyelining my eyes, but my pulse is so unsteady it ends up all smeared haha.

You're spot on about the shadow, electrolysis is the first thing I'm about to tackle. Meanwhile I want to get better at covering it with concealer. I'm still unsure about surgery... on the one hand, there are certain features I'd like to feminize a little but I'd hate to look unnatural or like I'm not myself anymore. Anyway, I'd like to begin HRT first in the near future and see how it goes.

I'd suggest a stronger line with the eyeliner and mascara -- you'll want your eyes to really pop out.  You've got great cheeks, btw.

Keep growing your hair, it's helping.

Get rid of the beard shadow.

I disagree with 2cherry -- that's a pretty masculine haircut.  You'll want to grow it out (you seem blessed in this department) to help frame your face, making it seem proportionately smaller.  But she's absolutely right about shaping your eyebrows and lips.  Excellent use of foundation, too.

Your eye makeup needs work.  Your eyes are rather deep set, and all the eye shadow just makes them look deeper.  I'd go with a bright neutral palette there, and instead work on your eyeliner and a lengthening mascara.  Your lower lids are messy -- you need a very fine line here, or just mascara.

Overall, your face has a lot of potential. :)

Wow! I am 21. But I haven't yet started transitioning. You look gorgeous.
Any tips on losing weight and feminizing myself are welcome.

Thank you for the advice. My haircut is my guy mode cut at the moment, I'm probably going to get a wig soonish. I haven't got any lipstick or gloss right now, so I'll try to get some soon. I'll do what I can with eyebrows, if anyone's got advice on how to make them better whilst still being okay in guy mode that would be great. I'll make sure to work on the eye make up though.
