You doesn't pass yet. If you wants to look cisgender, FFS is a solution. But getting a new hairstyle might also help the passing ability in addition to HRT. Perhaps you should try a hairstyle with lesser stiffness in it, so it looks a bit natural and relaxed.

I think she's wearing a wig.  Definitely want to get a better one.

She also has beard shadow and needs to work on her makeup -- more precision with the lipstick and eyeliner in particular.
What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it.

Hi all. I had posted this last month, but I think because of a little battle going on about the tone of this thread it got lost and I didn't get hardly any feedback, my apologies to you that have seen this before.

It had been a while since I had posted....This is me at 9 months HRT, 55 years old.

I personally think you're getting pretty close.  That is, I've seen far worse in ciswomen.  From the angle I don't see obvious brow issues, but you'll know if there is an issue from a side view, right? If the cheeks fill out a little more and the fat padding around the chin fades, the front view will be read as female, in my opinion.

I bet that with patience, and continued HRT you could be there at the 18 month point.  Push the makeup a bit with contouring and your front view could easily be read as female.
Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

Could I pass? Do you think I should get FFS?

Sydney,

You look a lot like I did 4 years ago. At that time I weighed 340 pounds. The single most important task in my transition was to lose weight. With a mostly vegetarian diet of less than 1000 calories per day for 2 years, I now weigh almost 200 pounds and I now have the right curves in the proper places.

With my massive weight loss, I also needed to do a tummy tuck and upper arms as well. Yes, I have surgery scars, but I needed to do this in addition to my GRS and FFS. When all my surgeries are done I will post pictures.

Most importantly, make a plan, work your plan, and don't look back!

You have a very real possibility to be what you want to be.

Best wishes,

no idea why the pics only show up on my pc and not any others. I resubmitted them with a different site. hopefully they can be seen now.

I at least updated my avatar with the recent pic as the other one was from 4 years ago when I looked good xD

I have a pacemaker and get the private screening all the time. I fly 20 or so times a year and it is always the same. Can't use the scanner so they take me apart right there. Have not been since I have grown noticeable boobs. But I realize they are doing it for my safety no matter how ineffective and useless the process is. It's unfortunate we have to have such precautions but that is what happens when your Pres ignores 77 warnings prior to 9/11 but was too busy on vacation to acknowledge. This is the Bandaid neglect and fear produced.

Yes. I understand it, but many TSA people are kind, minimizing the feeling of being insulted.

I also fly frequently, probably more than 100 times every year. Nowadays, I guess most security persons in the airport I frequently pass know me very well. I am sometimes surprised that people remember and recognize me so well. All of the security persons here are very kind.

Cheers!

I constantly look at this thread for inspiration as what might come and so many of you have come such wonderful ways! ^_^ At 25 and just hit 6 months HRT yesterday I don't feel anywhere close to looking feminine at most HRT has made my face a little softer and made me look younger and a bit more gender ambiguous but not feminine in my eyes >_< But bleh doesn't help me not get called Sir when I leave my house. My mind shifts between impatience and a conspiracy that sublingual estradiol isn't working well enough me but with injections on shortage doctor wont prescribe them to me but bleh Keep up the good work everyone and maybe I'll one day be able to be close and post in this thread too! Haha

Estradiol Cypionate, an injectable, is still readily available.  It's bio-identical 17b-estradiol, just like Estradiol Valerate, and it will do the job.

Thanks for your comments and kind words, I would welcome more from other members  :)

I think I am kind of lucky, I don't have the typical brow issues and zero Adams Apple. I also am regularly taken for less than my 55 years which is nice!

Well, this is pretty embarrassing because there're so many gorgeous girls here and I'm pre-everything (I've only recently dared to go dancing as a female). But since I don't have any trans friend in real life I feel like I need to share this bit of myself with you girls :), so here we go:
