Thanks for your honest feedback😊. I'm sure I'm my own worst critic, but I always feel like I just look like a boy in a wig. I really want to start hrt as soon as possible. Any thoughts on how that may affect my look physically, if at all?

Well in my honest opinion I do think you would pass. If I happened to pass by you as you were taking the photo I would assume you were a woman. People around me tell me they see a definite difference in my appearance since beginning HRT even though I can't say I do.
Finally doing what I have always desired.

Honest feedback. I don't think you would pass quite yet, but you'll get there.

One thing that I notice right away are the eyebrows. Going to a salon to get them shaped would be a big improvement.

I'll echo what Sebby and Rhonda said.  The wig looks extremely fake to me.  You may want to visit a wig shop and try on many different kinds to see which one looks the most natural.  Getting a second opinion from someone who works there will also help in choosing the right one.

The eyebrows are also a big give-away.  If nothing else, women always shape and trim their eyebrows - even when they don't wear any makeup.  It's one of the most important facial features that distinguishes men from women.

I'm agree. It's always nice to hear several people's opinions and that's more helpful I thinks.
Another thing which is a difference between most women and men is their facial features like jawline, brow bridge, nose size and edge, Adam's apple, facial hair and the skin. Body shape, how much muscles you has etc. have a lot to say at passing too. But attitude and facial expressions might also help. Many women in many societies tends to smile more - in a feminine way.

Well, posted a pic in 5.0 but now that's closed and I forgot to actually ask if I could pass. I'm at about 6months hrt and just wondered what others opinions were.

I'm a little late to the party, but I'd like to chime in if I may as an FTM on the other side of the tracks.
For having only been on HRT for 6 months at the time this image was taken, I'd say you're definitely on the right course.
At the moment, you look like a large number of Midwestern women I know. I'm not saying that to be rude (please don't take it that way), mind you, but you have a very 'salt of the earth' look about you like you're a woman that's not afraid to get your hands dirty but can doll it up at a moments notice.
Your fat distribution and whatnot will continue to gradually change and aid you even further in your endeavor. For now, you appear to have very smooth/nice skin and your hair is working a lot in your favor as far as passing goes. There's something about its casual curl that gives it a fullness and comes across as very feminine.
Your lips are a little thin--not necessarily masculine, but they're the one feature I keep coming back to and questioning as I look at your overall features--but I suspect a bit more time on E will help round them out a bit.
On the other hand, you don't have a predominant brow ridge at all and it makes your features overall a lot more female-reading.

It appears enough time on E may just be all you need. You don't seem to have any immediately pressing 'masculine' features (large brow/strong jaw/squared shoulders/etc.). Your appearance so far reads about 80% female to me personally.

These are great comments and I agree. You're dressed like women in a small town like where I live and that works in your favor. Most folks won't scutinize what they see 100 times a day. Wear heals and a formal dress and you might look like you're trying too hard depending on the circumstances. In other words, your attire blends in.

With a lip pencil in your natural lip color, you can make your lips appear a little larger by drawing just a little outside the vermillion.  There was an article in red book about this that I may post somewhere.

Definitely keep earrings in. To me your face is somewhat androgynous, so my eyes find clues like earrings and breasts and sub-conscious says female. I personally wear a simple pendant necklace most days as another signal. Think of it as finding subtle but effective ways to communicate your gender. The more the better as long as they aren't out of place like pearls with a tshirt.

In a photo it's difficult to tell if you've properly covered the facial hair. That is something that is important. If people are unsure they may look closer. It's a good idea after the foundation or pan stick to go over it with powder as well as this gives a more natural look.

Oh my , thank you for the very kind words.
I think I'm actually accepting that I'm becoming more passable physically which leads me to my biggest problem. Voice.
Even more than any beard shadow. My voice is such a fail.
I've been offered help here and I will follow up on that. I think I'm feeling more self conscious of my voice then my appearance  these days. I am replacing my wardrobe with only woman's clothing.
I got called sweetie tonight at work by a distracted male customer , but he apologized when he heard my voice. It's a minor confirmation on appearance but a major indicator that my voice is my downfall.
Thank you again for the kind comments. They really have me a little lift. Of course, I just had a couple of drinks with a girl from work, so I'm feeling a little more emotional and probably rambling a little too. Lol
Thanks and good night

Hey Girls, ok I have been officialy one month on HRT, I don't know if its appropriate to talk about it here, but it has been fantastic, well honestly not much has changed bar my skin feels so soft and my smell has changed.
No breast growth yet, but I'm not worrying, I have never been down by the whole me being trans thing, I'v always been a happy person, but now its like a whole new level, I smile so much And when I laugh, oh Lord I can't stop.
I think its the knowing my body is no longer growing in the wrong direction.
Anyhow, here is a few photos again, still can't do my brows as I am still not out yet. This is my natural hair too, no extensions this time.

In my opinion it's smart to come out before being too long on HRT because family and friends might get suspicious when they sees your changes and they would probably not understand what's going on. Softer skin and other HRT effects is a closer step for passing and may be visible changes. I thinks it's better to prepare people around you and be honest with them. If you're honest with them, it's a greater chance they would be more supportive and used to your changes, because then it wouldn't be a too big surprise for them. You're still not passing as cis yet, but you have some femininity which is hard to hide for related I think. It's two things that can happen. It's either they finding out you're trans by themselves or you telling them you're trans, in either way they may find it out. HRT can be powerful.

I agree, although since everyone's response is different, it might be even better to come out before starting.  For me, it comes down to career more than what family thinks.  Knowing I am accepted at work (I have not come out to anyone but a select few there but we have an excellent corporate gender policy as well as anyone with eyes should already have an idea) but family acceptance is great, but having a job makes their acceptance or lack thereof more of a meh thing for me.

The voice thing is manageable. It's good that you're getting help. My biggest advice would be to practice, practice, practice. I know this is going to sound weird, but talk to yourself a lot. When my voice started dropping, I struggled a little with continuing to project through my stomach (as females typically do) as opposed to my chest. After spending a bit of time chatting with myself during commutes/nightly showers/etc., I got the hang of appropriately projecting. In my case, I wasn't carrying any sort of female inflections (the tendency to go up an octave at the end of a sentence, generally sounding more melodic) so that was a benefit.
With enough conditioning, your speech patterns and projections will become second nature. It may seem rough at first and require a ton of concentration and energy, but you'll pull through.
Just remember this: Female voices come in a -lot- of different tones and not all of them are high or even mid pitched. The intonations are 90% of what makes a voice sound feminine. You've got this.

I don't foresee you having any issues whatsoever passing. Once your eyebrows are groomed (I know you can't at the moment), your face will change drastically.
There's a little bit of tightness going on around your mouth that appears as though it will soften with fat redistribution. It looks clenched in a way and it's difficult to tell if it's from muscle tone or not. Regardless, it's a minor thing and I'm only pointing it out because there tends to be a softness around a woman's mouth region; I'd imagine in your 1 month - 1 year comparison pictures, you'll see the difference as it won't be an immediately noticeable change.

Coming out is scary as hell but it feels great once it's out in the open.
You can't control anyone's reactions but your own. Be prepared for the worst (role play scenarios in your head), take a deep breath and go for it because you deserve to live a life you can call your own.

Based on these photos with a little facial grooming and further HRT you're a very pretty pass.

Take every post on here with a pinch of salt.

Here is what you would look like with a nice make-up job, good lighting, and a little sculpting of your noggin, I see nothing to be ashamed of. I hope this gives you confidence to proceed.

Hey Girls, ok I have been officialy one month on HRT

I came out to my parents and sister at my one-month mark on HRT.  It's a good time to come out.  You know by now how the HRT makes you feel, and whether you want to continue or not.  And telling them early will send a message to them that you want them to be included and a part of your transition.

You know, you're allowed to groom your eyebrows, even as a man.  :)  Take a look at photos of Kevin Spacey or Robert Downey Jr.  You'll notice their eyebrows are trimmed and shaped.  Yours are just all over the place.  Go to a salon and ask to get your eyebrows waxed.  You can go in boy mode.  Salons are used to seeing men coming in to get their eyebrows done.  Several months before I came out, and many months before I went full-time, I started getting my eyebrow waxed and threaded.  They can give you a shape that is not overly feminine - a shape that suits a man.  But it'll still look way better than your current eyebrows, both in male mode and female mode!  You'll look better and more importantly feel better.  It's totally worth it!!  :)
