Anyhow, here is a few photos again, still can't do my brows as I am still not out yet. This is my natural hair too, no extensions this time.

Take every post on here with a pinch of salt.

Thank you Dawn for the edited pics, kinda see what my eyebrows can look like!
And thank you, Emily, April and Stone if that is your name :')
The coming out thing is the scariest thing in my life, my mother is super religious, and my dad has always been the most Macho Hard man ther is, I really dont know what to do, I told my mum six years ago, after a few days she stopped talking about it and made me feel wierd, and then I went back to hidding for years :(

And Confetti, you look stunning! You have no problem passing I think.

Getting closer to the time I planned on coming out! Will hopefully be on HRT by the end of the year.

Got some new matte lipsticks yesterday, love the colour!
How am I doing?

So you are not out yet and nor are you on HRT? You seems like you have been full of estrogen most part of your life like a average cis woman and doesn't people get suspicious since you're not out yet? You could be a cis woman. Pretending to be a guy must be hard for you.

So if you do present yourself as "male", how do you manage to do it? You seems more passable as female than male at the pictures you have shared with us.

OK, I gotta ask. :)

I'm almost 3 months into HRT, and I think I can see a change in appearance.  The question is, is it enough?  I almost always get "Ma'am"ed just because this is a fairly accepting region of the country I'm in, but I also get clocked from time to time.

Stat-wise, I'm 62, 5'8", 139 lbs, 34B top; 36", 30" waist, 36" hips.

Any tips or suggestions on improvements in my presentation are appreciated.
Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

Michelle, I think it is the hair. It doesn't look very natural. And perhaps a different set of frames
At what point did my life go Looney Tunes? How did it happen? Who's to blame?... Batman, that's who. Batman! It's always been Batman! Ruining my life, spoiling my fun! >:-)

Some changes can take up to 1-3 years to fully manifest, so be patient! :) Use make-up, it works! :) More effeminate glasses would help. Best wishes!

Thanks.  Sounds like I have a task list.
1) Get the hair styled.  I like the color and length, but yeah, it is a bit... Off.
2) Makeup.  Practice, practice, and more practice (and watch those YouTube videos...)
3) Glasses.  Yeah.  The tortoiseshell frames are better than my old steel gray ones, but not by much.

Thanks, everyone!

Oh, of course... if you're comfortable and it sounds like you are, get a lady at the mall makeup counter to hook you up with pointers... generally they will do it for free if you purchase like $30 or 50 in products. Which is super easy to do... or schedule an appointment with them or an aesthetician to review your makeup and give you lessons.

D'oh!  I can't believe I didn't think about that.  Yeah, definitely a good plan.  I've got Sephora and Ulta nearby, along with every department store.  (Even a Nyx store, but I DO NOT WANT pointers from there. The clerks look like they belong in a San Francisco revue, and they're ciswomen!)

I may just get the wig professionally restyled, too. Needs more volume, I think.

Hope you don't mind if I pipe in, but thought I'd add something that hadn't been mentioned. Aside from the glasses, hair, makeup, one thing I thought might contribute to you getting "clocked" is your eyebrows. They look a bit bushier than you'd see on a lot of women in your age group (obviously there are exceptions, but many cis women over 60, their body hair tends to become more sparse as they get older). Thinning your eyebrows out a bit could help as well with passing :)

Thanks.  Yeah, I need to get them thinned and shaped a little bit.  They're mostly hidden behind glasses frames, but obviously not all the way.  As a patch I sometimes use a small amount of a gel (like Vasoline) to smooth them out and help hold a little brow powder, but they are a couple of gray caterpillars in that shot.  I didn't put anything on beyond a light foundation and a little concealer on what's left on my upper lip (mostly to cover red patches from skin chemo recently). So, I've got my work cut out for me.  Nothing major, I just need to start making an effort more often.

I'm so lazy.  ;)
