OK, first of all, you two are a super cute couple and I think all you need to pass are some accessories like earrings and a cute bag. You have very feminine facial structures. I don't think you need makeup at all, maybe some lipstick but that's it.

All the best to both of you.

Jessica

I am the second to it.

Cheers!

Wow! There is no question that you easily pass and you have beautiful legs.

There is one thing with your outfit that I don't like, though. Stockings with open toed shoes is a no go in my opinion....

Thanks! Yes. I know it. As I am a runner, my feet are very vulnerable to athlete's foot, and I wear sandals even in winter.

Just ago at my campus. It's fall here!

BTW, I am not on HRT, and I do not care so much about passing.

Cheers!

Going by your picture I can see you passing right now :)

That's because you look into the mirror every day and don't notice the slow changes that are happening. The only thing I can think of is a light beard shadow on your upper lip. I'm pretty sure that once you get this cleaned up with laser or electro, you will no issues with your physical appearance anymore. Keep in mind, looks only is not enough if you behave like a guy but I'm sure you already know this... :)

You still have some beard shadow, and your nose and forehead are fairly pronounced.  Could probably use a trachea shave, but it's hard to tell from this angle.

On the plus side, you have thick hair, a nice upper lip, and a pretty narrow jawline.  Chin could be shortened, but at least it's tapered.  You'd be a great candidate for facial surgery.  The full works and you'd be dynamite.

What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it.

One of the main issues with M-F is the facial hair/stubble. HRT will not resolve that. HRT over time may lighten body hair color and reduce hair growth in some parts of the body, but will not stop facial hair growth. M-F have to have the facial hair killed. Period. It's the main clocker for many. Some of the vets here have posted about the hours/days/weeks/months spent killing the facial hair. It's a must do for most. HRT is not going to resolve male stubble.

I'm aware of this, I'm going to get laser, more than the hair though it's my brow ridge and nose and head size that are just way too big. I didn't start HRT until 22 and 3/4.

The trick to head size is, ironically, to grow out more hair, so your face seems smaller in comparision.  Not something to worry about, regardless.

Facial hair, facial features, and voice, that's the holy trinity.

Yep, I don't read you as female. Everything is here, you have a good bodyframe for what I can see, nice skin... But your face structure is very masculine.

The way I see it, you could spend a lot of time working on makeup, etc., and you might pass most of the time.

Or you could get FFS and pass instantly.

That's just my point of vue though, and I don't think the photos you posted really advantage you.

Tell me what your definition of "man" and "woman" is, I'll tell you which I am. Not the other way around.

I do feel like FFS would definitely help eventually, but it's totally out of reach right now, financially. I get kind of sad thinking about how it would probably be necessary for me. I have a hope that eventually even though I don't "pass" I will get to a point where I'm comfortable and accepted enough to just be me and life my life without flak. Maybe it's a pipedream though.

Barbie, I'm sorry but you don't pass in my eyes.  I'm sure most Americans will think you pass, but other Asians like me will think otherwise.  There are very subtle but noticeable differences in the faces of Asian men and women that most people cannot pick up on, unless they spend lots of time with other Asians.  I'm sure you already know this though, since you live in Korea.

AoifeJ, I'm sorry but you don't pass in my eyes either.  Your facial hair is very easy to spot; it's the first thing I noticed.  And as Ange wrote, your facial structure is very masculine, especially your brow bone.  That being said, all is not lost.  I have a local TS friend who transitioned more than 20 years ago.  She never had FFS, and she also has a pronounced brow bone.  But she passes quite well, and is accepted by all of her cis female friends as one of them (many of whom do not know she is trans).  Keep in mind though, she had 20+ years of HRT.  It might not take that long for you, but your 9.5 months of HRT is not enough to overcome such strong masculine features.  But many, many years of HRT might do it.

Hi there,

I can see one potential solution to your issue, you need to get your eyebrows re-shaped. They are too straight in my opinion. Adding a bit of an arch would work. Also, adding a bit of makeup wouldn't hurt in your presentation.

Fantastic hair!  You have a fairly delicate chin and a small upper lip, quite good.

Your mandible is a bit square, but that's not a biggie.  Your nose seems a bit larger than it should be, though, and it's where it bridges to your forehead that I can discern slight brow bossing. Your eyebrows could do with a trim.  It'd be nice to see your features without makeup, and some profile shots.

I suspect you pass quite well as is.  If all you ever had was a nose job, I bet you'd be fine.  :)

Assuming your voice is spot on, and facial hair removal is taken care of, if you had FFS you'd be completely unclockable.
What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it.

Actually, you look quite a bit like a girl I knew in school Amanda  :icon_chick:  Your features have softened and feminized rather well imo

Yes. My height alone makes me look exotic. Most sales persons in stores first speak to me in English. The same happens in hotels, airports and flights. In the street, some people also speak to me in English, if they can speak English. But I always use women's public rest room. My height attracts a lot of attention there, too, including little girls.

Fem -- Hair looks great, lips and eyes as well. Like the "cat eye" makeup look. Masc -- The eye brows, and that's an easy fix with reshaping. You look nice and would easily pass in my book. I don't see any facial hair, lucky you! :)
