@andracass you dont look bad at all, and i love the outfit it serously looks stylish. I do think your face needs some more time for hrt to soften it up and add a little fat in the right areas. If you don't mind me saying you're in the feminine guy zone (sorry no offense intended!) right now and over the course of the next about 7 months or so your features will slowly drift toward androgynous. While you're waiting on the painfully slow process (I hated waiting too and would think every day hurry up already darn it) to do its thing try practicing a bit with makeup and getting your eyebrows arched and cleaned up. Arched eyebrows go a very long way in making your face appear more feminine. Sephora is a great place to learn because the makeup artists give you all the help you need and are very trans friendly. Hope this helps :]

I don't mind it, thanks- I've just been kinda wondering how i look to someone who's never met me.
I'm bad at judge-y type things so my opinion probs doesn't mean much but I like your face.

Everyone looks like they're coming along nicely in their transitions to me. I just realized I had a butt and wider hips apparently that I should have noticed 4 mo ago x.x I doubt I'd post that here LOL!

This is such an inspiring thread, everyone is working so hard and doing so well! I wanted to throw my own concerns around a bit..

My voice is still pretty bad so I know I don't pass for that reason, but just like many of you I have concerns about my face and would love some feedback I can use to improve! I have so much motivation to better myself after starting HRT.

Don't be afraid to say what you think, please! I would VERY much appreciate the honest feedback without too much sugar on top -constructive kind prefered. I'm a big girl, I can take it ;D . I'm not wearing any makeup in these so you can see my face as is, and my main concern is my nose and jawline. I often notice people stare very intensely at me even when I haven't spoken to or near them, so there is obviously a major tell in my face or mannerism that give away my situation. I feel like I have my gait and general movements/behavior pretty much down though.

How would I take attention away from my nose and soften the jawline? Or are you seing something else that I should be concerned with? I am a total newb when it comes to makeup, only been doing some very light stuff for years and not daring to be adventurous with it. Working hard on improving it now, but I feel like that would be easier with some input from other people.. (click the links to see the pics bigger)

Have a silly face as well, thank you so much for any and all help and suggestions <3

As a trans woman knowingly looking for any masculine features, I can't see really any! So your nose is straight. A lot of women's are. IF you would be thinking about surgery one day that would be the only thing. You know, if you wanted to look like a model or whatever.  ;)

But in all seriousness, you look so naturally feminine. This is just for sarcasm but, I hate you! Lol.
No really you do look so great.  :D

Hey. You look beautiful in my honest opinion.
You have a feminine face, your lips are awesome and I'm totally jealous!
Can't believe you're no wearing makup. For me, makeup is my shield. Hides me when i'm embarrassed and helps me pass. Your skin is so clear looking and you have class hair.
I can't see any adams apple at all and you nose is perfect.

I would recommend a very slight brow lift possibly?
keep experimenting with makeup even if your just spending the night in, hone your skills. Watch some youtube videos. A dark-ish red lipstick would look great I think.

You look awesome!

OMG :D You are too kind really, IDK what to say! I always was a pretty feminine kid, and I guess I'm still in time to prevent developing all of my dads stronger  features -we have very similar faces. There's just something about those people staring so intensely and for so long at me though, that makes me feel really insecure and that there is definitely something with me that is a major tell. Your kind words make me feel better about it though, thank you <3

I am pretty scared about doing any more surgery than I absolutely need to, but I feel like a minor adjustment of the nose would be a big help.

Aahw thanks, I appreciate you praising my skin cus I worked hard on it ;D . I have a skin care routine that has helped just so much in clearing it up and making it fairly uniform in color, and I follow it very carefully. Only main issue are ingrown hairs I get from lasering, that create awful red bumps :P . I guess I'm just blessed with naturally thick hair.. But yours look pretty thick and full too, I imagine you could have some great long hair.

My adams apple sits very high, so these days it is concealed behind my little flob of chin fat, that also isn't very visible. When you say brow lift, could you kindly specify a bit? I think I know what you mean, and I do have this sort of 'resting angry face' thing, I make an effort to smile a lot and try to open my eyes a bit when I'm out and about

Anyway thanks, I really appreciate it both of you <3

I agree with the other comments, I think you look great, very naturally feminine.  Unless you sit down in a skirt with your legs wide open, i wouldn't even consider you to be anything but cis.  In addition, like Josie....I also hate you!!  :)   :P

I wanna see if you ever work up the courage! I was on pills for about a year and then switched to injections and omg did my figure explode outward. Did you notice any hip pain or soreness at all when they were growing?

Girl please they definitely aren't looking at you because you don't physically pass, they're looking because you're a pretty lady. I serously can't even find a problematic feature to help with. You were one of the lucky few blessed with naturally feminine features. The only things I can even think of to improve your passing is makeup and clothing! Do you have a picture of you with makeup on and clothes?

When I first started presenting female the looks I got were uncomfortable too, like you,  I thought people were staring because something was off. We'll it turns out girls just naturally draw people's attention much more than guys and it's something that takes getting used to when you're still new to it.

Double post sorry didn't wanna draw attention away from the beautiful floof. I finally got around to making a small timeline and wanted to share it. I remember alot of my unsupportive family and some now former friends said in the first few months how I would never pass as a woman or look remotely female since I was so masculine looking and behaving pre hrt. I'd like to see their faces now just to see their jaws drop in disbelief. So to all thr ladies still early on in hrt there is a light at the end of the tunnel it just takes a while bc hrt is slow as molasses.

Dam Korra.. You really think so?.. Cus it has never in my life crossed my mind that anyone looked at me for that reason. Everyone here's lifting me up so damn much I'm starting to feel seriously guilty for ever bringing up my looks in the first place!

I'm actually going to plead with  you to rename the topic, as there's a misplaced comma. :)  I can't help noticing this stuff after years as a writer/editor/librarian... (It should be "Do I Look, or Could I Pass as, Female?" Otherwise, it says "Do I Look ... as Female," which is not quite right.)

hey girls, I have a question and a total of more asking for help. Tell me, but just honestly looking at the pictures, I mean the same face, the more I look at the boy or girl? Just looking at each other every day in the mirror I do not see any changes, and on the street, people come to me to me as a girl. I mean a real opinion, does not have to be nice, important to tell me whether it is moving in the right direction

My daughter would feel the same way. It would freak her out. I often leave things like that for her >:-). I will change it.

Let's see if this worked right. Sadly, it will change the title and all responses from this point on but not the previous Re's.

Sadly, that's what dysphoria does dear. It clouds our self perception so our own evaluation of how we look is often divorced from reality. :( But you don't have anything to worry about all I see is an attractive woman. I don't even see any tells so if I met you and didn't know in advance I would assume you were cis. Smile a bit more too :]

thx Korra, unfortunately, so it looks like when a man looks at himself in the mirror for x years, and what would have changed it sees himself old.

yes exactly.  :]  you're used to how your old face looked so you can see it when you look in the mirror. Strangers can only see the new face and that is a pretty woman's face!
