Fear of not passing is one of the things that holds me back. I hate the idea of not being perfect.... One of my flaws....
So, I am pretty new here, but based on my reading of the various threads, virtually every single person thinks they are not perfect, and most of us think we don't pass. And, most of us are wrong.
I have said on these forums and others that if you are thinking you don't pass, go out anyway. Even if you do not pass, people need to get used to us, and need to treat us respectfully, no matter what they think we look like. And... You just might find, as many of us have, that there are no issues, and whether or not you passed made no difference in any way in any of your interactions or experiences. In another thread, someone asked, if you are treated as a woman, and people are pleasant and respectful, does it matter if they "clocked" you or not? Since you can't read peoples' minds, and you can only know their actions, if they act like they think you are woman, then all should be good.
Easy to say. Hard to do. At least for the first 15 or 20, or 100 times. But it does get easier...
