I have Tourette's Syndrome (and Asperger's, ADHD, Bipolar, and OCD) and I was wanting to know if HRT would have an effect on my tics. I mean, it does make sense that hormonal changes could exacerbate my tics. Does anybody else on here have Tourette's (or any of the other conditions I mentioned), and if so, how did the hormones affect you?

Stare at the sun, challenging all reality
The glass door to my soul is shattering
The bridges to my past are collapsing
I feel new energy, This is my quickening
Transcending to a new dimension

Blackwaters,
I can speak to this as a M to F person with a minor form of Tourette's. I have seen no difference after a year of being on hormones with regard to Tourette's. I never know what triggers it to make it worse, but hormones didn't.

I have Aspergers and I've been on HRT since May. So far I haven't noticed any changes such as it making my tics any worse. Though I haven't been on hormones long. But I believe you should be okay starting HRT. If you have any major concerns you may want to considering asking your local endocrinologist.
