Hi there ,

I'm new to this forum and well forums as a whole . I've never been one to seek community online but after moving far from home and my close friends ,  I am seeking to create friendships with other trans and like minded people online.  A little about me , I am 28 Years old , a proud and out transwoman, happily married to my husband of 2 years and originally from Texas but now reside in Michigan . I've never really sought out new friendships online as back home I have a wonderful community of friends who I hold dear to my heart , but it can be a bit lonely being in a new city and it would be nice to engage people of similar interests. My interests include Musical Theater, Music in general and BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS!  Anyways I'm really bad at these introductions so thats it.

Nice to meet you! I was a military brat, so I hated moving from place to place. I never realized just how much cool stuff I  had seen before the age of 10! Then again I would have given all that up for some true long-term friendships. Well we are here for you! What part of the world did you move to? I landed in Florida and it is crazy hot here!

Naming just one author as a favorite  feels just downright wrong lol. Its just too hard to chose. The author I've read the most of is Augusten Burroughs, but that hardly qualifies him as my favorite .He has just put out a lot  of books. I am currently reading Covering - The Hidden Assault On Our Civil Rights by Kenji Yoshino .

That's some serious reading! it's funny as a trans woman, I feel we are finally getting some rights. But as an American we are really losing or civil rights. The war on drugs was the beginning
and now look at where we are at, we have pretty much handed all our rights away!  Remember history has a way of repeating itself, read Homer and tell me things have really changed? A friend of mine says as soon as I start HRT, I will crave romance novels!! Like Nora Roberts or Anna Brooks. I enjoy a good romance novel every now and then, but I don't  crave them  I can't wait to start my HRT:-)
But if I was stranded on a desert island, I would want the complete works of Bernard Cornwell. I love his writing, not very girly! but I love history
