Ok, first of all, this may sound like an advertisement, but I've been here at Susan's a long time and it's not, but I'm so happy with it I wanted to share. I'm not affiliated with the company or receive any benefit for this either. I actually meant to put this in my big update about myself in my blog, but I forgot to.
Having larger female lips can make a huge difference as to how well one passes. HRT shaped my lips to be female, but they were by no means big lips--neither were they little, but anything helps. I had previously tried some of the lipsticks that supposedly plump your lips, but they never seemed to help mine--not even temporarily. In fact, I couldn't even feel the "tingle" I was supposed to feel. I decided to look on the internet and see what options were available and I came across a product recommended in a number of reviews by other women, so I thought I may as well give it a try myself.
It's called Lip Fusion (you can do a google search). They have a bunch of info on their website about how it works, but it basically works by placing dehydrated collagen molecules--dehydrated to make them smaller--onto your lips, which is absorbed and then the body's natural moisture rehydrates them and the collagen molecules are too big to pass through the skin once they are rehydrated. It works slowly and with each application makes them bigger. I got a 60-day trial and paid $10 for shipping and got it like 3-4 weeks ago. When I opened the package, I tried it out immediately and felt the tingling almost right away. I still feel it each time, even though it's supposed to eventually stop. It's supposed to only take a couple weeks to notice a difference, but that was kind of interrupted by recovering from my gallbladder surgery, and since then I've continued applying it.
I was looking in the mirror this morning and I definitely have noticed a difference. It's not a huge change and I don't expect to ever look like Angelina Jolie or anything, but the slight increase is definitely a welcome change. Plus, I can avoid expensive FFS and I was able to start making the change right away. I've heard you can get a lip pumps, but I have yet to try that.
