It is hot asguam right now here in the Midwest. Am I even absorbing anything after sweating right after I apply it?

It would depend on how much you are sweating. If you are applying after a shower, I would suggest you cool off in an air-conditioned room before applying it. Another option would be to turn the shower to cold for a few minutes before you finish to help cool your body down. I admit that where I am that trick wouldn't work because the water come out of the cold water tap at over 100 degrees in the summer.

I was dry, cooled off under my AC, applied it then lo and behold...I stepped outside to wait for the bus. I was sweating buckets in the first 10 minutes.

For the first 3/4 months I felt a lot more sweaty which is just a side effect of T. I assume now I'm just used to my temp now feelimg higher than before. I can't quite remember if i felt sweaty tight after gel.

My doctor said to avoid anything sweat inducing during the first two hours after applying. Can you wake up earlier and apply the gel earlier? Can you shower at night and apply it before bed? Time of day doesn't matter as much as consistency.

I'll just shower after work then apply it before bed I guess. Night time is cooler anyway.

You're supposed to apply gel in the morning; I'm on testogel myself. T gives you a butst of energy so not best to take it before bed; plus it's more natural taking it during the day.

It is recommended to apply gel in the morning but I don't think there's no harm done if you don't. I didn't because I had a very physical job back then so I would've just ended up sweating it away during the day so I applied it after showering when I got home. I think it's more important to apply it around the same time each day.

I recently had my hormone levels checked (at my request because I was having night sweats for  a couple of days) for the first time in several years, because my PCP took the auto pilot approach to my HRT with a typical dosage regimen for trans women.

My serum testosterone results came back a day later <3, so I anticipated that my estrogen level was probably high, so I decided to suspend HRT until I knew my estrogen results, which came back 4 days later at a whopping 2700; needless to say I was freaking out as I had no idea how long it had been that high (I did however have an injection the day before the blood draw, and a sublingual tablet the morning of, so I was hoping that my high level was just a spike) so I went directly to my PCP's office to request another test; my results came back at 500, which is still high, but a lot better than 2700!!!

I went to an endocinologist who did another lab, and we are suspending my HRT until the results come back and I meet with her in a couple of weeks; she is on point and will be doing regular labs to check my levels; my options were limited when I started going to my PCP so I basically was just happy to have HRT, but these days we don't have to settle, there are endocrinologists that treat trans people, and will be proactive in our treatment.
