Hello,

I'm planning to have my surgery here in the U.S, MtF. I am wondering if you guys can share your experinces with surgeons for those of you that have already gone through the procedure. I'm not even sure what I'm looking for, any tips would be great

I can't point out a single procedure or surgeon but there are a number of question you need to answer. Will your insurance cover it and if so will the doctor need to be in your network? Do you have sufficient skin, want penis inversion or skin grafts? What is your  time period? Are you in a rush or can you wait for a more desirable surgeon? The answers to these questions will give the others a starting point in suggesting a surgeon.

Sorry about that.

I am planning on applying through CareCredit to be able to finance the procedure or opt for a loan. Though if the doctor accepts CareCredit, that's a plus. I'm not in a big rush but I would like to find one within the following months. I'm not sure what method I am interested in as of yet, though I believe I have sufficient skin without needing a skin graft.

Thank you

I'm more looking for recommendations to SrS surgeons in the U.S I am willing to travel out of state, I am in Florida. Any help or recommendations of doctors so I could look into would be great. If the surgeon is within Florida, even better. There are so many that it is difficult to know which one actually does good work. I know there's one here in South Florida Dr Reed but they say he's terrible.

Any help is appreciated

yea i heard of Reed and actually spoke to him before
This girl on tube went to him

if the video does not show on here her youtube name is Phoenix Eden
in one of the videos she say she went to somewhere else because i think she only has a 4 inch deep NeoVagina(which is what Reed can do ) .... and please don't listen to some trans women that say well ciswomen vagina's are only 4-5 inches but leave out that those cisVaginas can be stretched to take way more wood ... I am use to huge ding dongs dudes wanting me and not small ones so thats why I am considering the Colon one myself (PAI)...i know to much info .....If i were you i would just go to bowers/mcgin

Folks...the deeper the better...although decent width helps get those guys claiming to be as wide as a can of Red Bull in.  And no I have not tried that. :o
I went to Dr. Sinclair...make sure you tell him you plan to use it...with guys.

I'll actually caution that depth isn't necessarily the top priority; the first question, in fact, should be what the priorities *are.* Do you care most about sensation, looks, depth...?

(I have average depth, and it's fine; also, not everyone wants to be with guys, and that's something to ask yourself too.)

I much prefer a pretty vagina and not a swollen fat one. I'm to skinny for a fat cat ... I only want depth  because I usually get anacondas [emoji102]

I think looks, depth and sensation are priorities for most haha. But I suppose for me those would be priority: looks sensation and depth especially. I've heard good things about McGinn when it comes to looks and sensation. I've seen some of Chettawuts work on his website and it's pretty great but I'd preffer someone here in the states.

Sorry, I should have been clearer - it's important to put those in order of priority. Like, personally, I cared about sensation, then looks, then depth, and that helped me pick a surgeon (one who specialized in excellent sensation and really good aesthetics but "adequate" depth).

I can only think of three that I would trust:

Marci Bowers
Christine McGinn
Toby Meltzer

In addition Pierre Brassard in Montreal.

Those are the most active surgeons and i think there is something to be said for experience although they all had to start somewhere and with someone.
Others that I can think of:
Dr. Rumer
Dr. Reed
Dr. Leis
Dr. Nguyen

I haven't heard many good things about Dr.Reed in Miami to be honest

I think if I were to prioritize them I would say looks, sensation and depth

I will say, then, that I went to Brassard, who is known for producing consistently excellent appearance but prefers to try for average depth (he uses any extra tissue for additional detail work on the aesthetics instead). And I had a gynecologist tell my insurance I was a cis woman based on the looks down there (that was a weird mix of flattering and kind of a hassle to straighten out!). I'm also orgasmic and self-lubricating, so I lucked out and sensation and function are also very good. Depth is fine - like I said, it's not my priority, and I got his standard 5.5" and am quite content with that. If you really wanted a lot of depth, you might have wanted to look into the Thai surgeons after all, but since you don't, there are several in the US plus Brassard who do good work.

I've also heard nothing but bad things about Reid and Leis, and I believe there are some horror stories on this board somewhere. Otherwise, though, all the big names with sufficient experience will *usually* do a good job.

Where would Dr. Alter appear on this list, for US/NA Surgeons?
Physics is like sex: sure, it may give some practical results, but that's not why we do it.
