Hello, I am new to posting and figured it was time to introduce myself.

I am 41 and single. My 'coming out' to my ex-wife ended the marriage. I have children who do not know and they live mostly with my ex wife.

I work as an airline pilot, which is an extremely male dominated industry. There have been a few pilots who have transitioned and would love to hear about their experiences.

Other than coming out to my ex, I am totally in the closet. Still trying to work up the courage to be true to myself.

Welcome to Susan's Place. I have seen a few pilot private and possibly commercial wandering around on the site and the the last thread was within the last week. The FAA has been dealing with this for a while including my roommate who had a A&P license and worked for TWA. It's possible your children will be more accepting as it's becoming common for school age children to transition. Many schools have programs that educate the remainder of the children about the needs of the transgender. If there is anything I can help you with let me know.

Welcome. Even though you say you are still in the closet, you can build a beautiful closet until you come out into the world. You will find this forum a relief and very helpful in your journey.
