So, do you have a hobby or something like that? What do you like to do on your spare time.
For me, besides socializing, I do a lot of different things.
I like to dabble in music, I used to do it more often before. And then I stopped for a few years. Recently I've been getting back into it. I got a keyboard and I'm trying to learn to play it.
I also like doing different print design projects and internet stuff. I've just started getting back into those things again. I used to co-own my own magazine a couple of years ago. It was a lot of fun, but a lot of work. I did a lot for the publication. Lots of design. I've also done design for some charities, like with making posters and things like that. I've done several websites as well, and I've got a friend I'm going to be helping with his website for his store.
I've also just gotten into seed spouting. It's a lot of fun. I have a germinator gizmo and I just still the seeds and water in there and I can watch the seeds grow every day. It's a lot of fun to watch life grow before you. I then can eat the sprouts. Right now I'm sprouting Chickpeas, Mug beans, lentils, alpalpha, radish, and broccoli. I've always liked plants and gardening. It's kind of Zen. I have a couple of plants that I've had for along time, one is seven years old (a tropical) and his name is Fred, and my lipstick plant (Ophelia) is five years old. I take good care of them. And yes, I actually give my plants names. We got a new plant for the house, and I've been taking care of that one, but I haven't figured out her name yet. My roommate got it, but I'm in charge of taking care of it because they all say they have black thumbs. They get plants and they die on them, while plants go crazy around me.
I also love to cook. I love making all kinds of things and trying to come up with different stuff. My roommates love this because they don't really cook at all, except my ex, who still lives with me. I do most of the cooking. We don't buy meat (where sort of vegetarians, which means we eat meat sometimes but not very often, mostly only if we are out at a restaurant). So, anyway, I've invented all kinds of interesting vegetarian dishes, it's a lot of fun and uses a lot of creativity. We're all pretty healthy in this house, we try to eat right and exercise.
I just love using my creativity! I love doing different art projects, making up stories, and other stuff like that. I used to write a lot more, but I don't do it as much anymore. I'm starting to get back into it again, however. I used to be a journalism student, I edited my publication as well, and I've had my attempt at a couple of novels. I've also done photography, except most of my equipment is dead now (sadly).
One thing that I have found out is that the best way to be creative is to be your true self. I went through a huge creative block for a long while, and it was then after a lot of searching I realized that I couldn't be creative if I wasn't who I was, thus I started to transition rather than just trying to hide it and hope those feelings go away. I find that by being myself I'm starting to become more creative and it comes easier now. It's just the start of it now.
I also like doing research. I love learning about things. I learn about new things every day. I just pick a topic and learn. I've ended up being a walking, talking, encyclopedia. I just love to learn and explore new things.
I like to go hiking, too. I don't get out to the mountains often, since I live in the city and have no car. I just go around the city. I try to go down different blocks, explore new neighbourhoods, and have fun while doing it.
I also like trying new things. I once tried my hand at brewing my own alcohol, which was fun (although my apartment ended up smelling like a brewing factory, which isn't that good of a smell). I made hard apple cider, it's pretty strong. I still got tons of it, but I don't drink it much.
Anyway, those are some things I like doing. I always like finding new things to do. Like the sprouting, which I just started. It's great -- I can grow my own food inside for really cheap! It's super healthy and you can add sprouts to sandwiches, stir-fries, and all kinds of things. Living in an apartment I don't have an outside garden, but it's fun to have an inside all year garden. And seeds are cheap, like you can get a ton of dried beans for cheap, and you can grow them all and make bean sprouts.
