I've seen people here getting their knuckles rapped for posting bad surgery reviews, so I'll let the results speak for themselves.  If you want the full run-down you can find my posts on Transbucket or ->-bleeped-<- (https://www.->-bleeped-<-.com/user/AndySFCA/submitted/)

Dr. Gurjala and the rest of the Kaiser San Francisco staff insist these are typical results, so they shouldn't have any problem letting people see their work and decide for themselves if this is what they want their chests to look like.

Happy to answer any questions you folks might have!  Just want to make sure this information is out there so people can make informed decisions about their surgeons.

Welcome to the site.

Thanks for sharing. Thank you also for being aware that we do not allow bashing of doctors(or really any one else). Being disappointed or upset with your results is okay. You can let us know you are unhappy with something. However, we cannot condone making it personal about the other party. Clear, clean reviews are welcome and helpful.

I hope you find what you are looking for here. In addition to the bashing thing we have some other rules as well. I am sharing some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the Terms of Service that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to look through them, please take a moment:

While this topic is okay here, would you prefer if I move it to a category specifically about Top Surgery?

Just post here and let me know. It would be in the categories that follows:

Community Conversations/Transsexual Talk/FTM Transsexual Talk/FTM Top Surgery

Warmly,

Joanna

I'd support a move to Top Surgery. That is where most guys to go look for surgeon pics and reviews.

Andy,

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I haven't looked at your threads on ->-bleeped-<- yet to see the whole write-up, but I would hope that you're able to get a revision somehow. Your nipples look like they've healed well and the incision line looks very thin, but there still appears to be a lot of excess tissue there along with the bunching in the center. On your right side, I can't tell if that's tissue or fluid buildup. I'd watch that one if it's fluid, it looks much different than the left. How was the drain on that side?

If you're local to SF, I'd encourage you to schedule a consultation with Dr. Satterwhite and see if he'd be willing to write out what all would need to be corrected. If they won't let you see an outside doctor (I believe that's how Kaiser works, right? All in house?), they'll at least have something in writing telling them what they need to fix. It may also help any kind of appeal you need to submit to get outside coverage to have something from a doctor saying that it requires fixing.

I believe someone on the board used a Kaiser surgeon in Oregon (Dr. Jennifer Murphy) and had a good experience and great results. If they insist on making you stay with Kaiser doctors for the revision, perhaps you could request to travel to her?
