I am 6 months post op at this point and sex with my man is becoming very regular, however sometimes things feel a little bit like tumbleweed and sand might as well be there, yes, dryness, I have a degree of self lubrication that triggers only when I am already very turned on and it is often not enough. I keep reading about Estrace (?) can anyone point me in the right direction as to what I should be trying? I have looked through the old threads and they're pretty vague. Anyone with personal experience in the matter would be nice. I would prefer to not be like, let me reach for the ky baby!! And have to push him off me so often lol, not that I find it incredibly bothersome, it would just be nice. would a pessary lubricant help? Any brands anyone recommend? Feel free to share your ideas on how to solve this issue or if I should just accept things as they are then be blunt too lol I don't mind.

Thanks ladies.

Hiya,
I`m a {very} long time post-op. and over the years have found that using 'Ovestin' Estriol 0.1% creme (distributed in the U.K by Aspen Pharma.), which is for use P.V {intravaginally}.
It keeps everything plump, softened and reliably moist.......It`s commonly prescribed for reducing the symptoms of vaginal dryness and urogenital atrophy, in menopausal females.
It`s easily available on NHS prescription from your G.P and is very effective.
One applies it using the special, long 'syringe'; once daily for the initial 3 week period, then reducing to twice-weekly thereafter.
It`s wonderful stuff! ;)

My doctor recommended dilating with Vagisil lube; he said he suggests the same (well, the lube, not the dilation part) to his menopausal patients, because it offers help with dryness beyond the first few minutes. I did have to use it once a day or so, but that wasn't bad at all - it didn't have to be right before sex or anything. When I stopped dilating daily, I switched to just putting a little in there with a finger before I got in the shower in the mornings. It wasn't any more work, and was less annoying, than putting moisturizer on the rest of me. :) I realize this is an over-the-counter solution, but that's a lot more convenient than having to get a prescription.

(After a year or so of that, I experimented and determined that I was fine without it.)

Hi just wanna make a small update on this. Estriol cream works wonders for me.not only does it take care of the dryness and irritation that comes with it but I can actually have sex without running off to prepare myself or reaching out for lube prior to penetration. The way it's designed also means there's no need to keep reapplying it during a lengthy love making either. It's all so nice and easy. Thanks so much to CollieLass again for the info . I have no vaginal dryness anymore! :)
