This world is going downhill.

Maybe, but if you think that the number of countries calling being LGBT a crime has probably gone down in 80 years, could be said that things are getting better. Very Slowly. It's when the US ban it again that things will get ->-bleeped-<-.

*shakes head* Why on earth did I care so much about humanity before? To be fair, most of these countrie are 'developing' countries, not as modern as, say, the USA. Sad as it is, I do sorta beleive that Trans folk have more rights in the USA then most parts of the world, if not all. Not sure if that is all that great though.

That means I can't got to 10 of the countries I've been in already...
Yeah, life is weird.

there is rather a lot of death there, Yemen's flogging to death being unpleasantly specific.

Myabe if I went to Angola I could lose this last 30 lbs in a labor camp?

You won't need to go that far.   You've given me an idea of starting a labor camp here so's I can make money off of people who get sentences such as: "you are hereby sentenced to the labor camp for 30 pounds".
This will enable me to become a success while my prisoners achieve their weight loss goals.

The level of inhumanity is astounding. While it's not by any means perfect in the USA, at least I'm somewhat free to express who I am here, merely exposing myself to risk of possible employment discrimination and/or hate crimes. Oh joy.

i heard the cost was £4.50 a month for your gaycard subscription? [/humour]

We covered this for our lgbt campaign at uni last year... the islamic circle had the nerve to ask us to take down the iran poster with the two young gay men in the gallows, and the afghanistan ones, because they showed a mosque.... when islamic religious law condemed homosexuals to death.... sounds fair eh?

lets not forget. lots of these countries that have penalites for being gay, have no problems  with straight trans folk....

It's Attila and the Witchdoctor, going hand in hand. But this too shall pass as more people wake up to longer lives, better food, and greater technologies and freedom. Basically, we're on the winning side of civilization, the nations listed are often the poorest of the poor, the lowest life spans, and the least technologically advanced, and the least free/libre of the world. Just remember the list, and mark it well, both as a reminder of how good we all have it in our own nations, and how far we have to go as well.
