Hey, I thought I'd mention this because I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else on here (though I may not have looked hard enough) and I've noticed a few people doing it who may not be aware that they're doing it since they've most likely been used to doing it that way their entire lives.
It's something I read about in an article a few years ago, and although it's very easy to find exceptions and I'm not entirely sure to what degree it's true, I think it's still worth keeping it in mind to be on the safe side.
http://www.truemirror.com/theory01.aspBasically the theory goes that men tend to have their hair parted on the left (from their perspective), with bangs pushed off to the right, and women tend to have it parted on the right, with bangs pushed off to the left, and this can affect how people perceive you. Allow me to (literally, and poorly) illustrate:

Here's an actual example from a random google image search of what I'm talking about:

Again, I'm not 100% sure how true this theory is, but I know it can't hurt, and I'm sure that people here, like me, are probably looking for every little detail they can get down to try and further cement their gender role, so I thought I'd at least mention it. Oh, and obviously this only applies to asymmetrical hairstyles.
