Do you tip your electrologist? I tend to tip about 20% when i get my hair cut, but given the cost of electrolysis, i'm wondering how many of you tip and, if you do, how much?

Thanks,

Laura

Good question!  I did the "Emily Post" thing, and what's suggested for folks that provide us with regular services (hairdressers, etc) is that we tip the equivalent of one session once a year, as a holiday season bonus.

Sounds reasonable to me.  It's not like I won't be seeing the electrologist regularly for the next several years.  :P
Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

I always tip 20%.  Never for the laserologists though, as they're medical service providers, at least here in CA.

I don't have an answer. I will be following this, though. My electro is  $110 a session. I don't make much money but maybe a holiday gift tip sounds reasonable.
oh yeah, I haven't tipped yet. I guess I should just ask her directly.
