I am an only child.

However, I do have step siblings. 2 sisters and a brother. Brother and one sister is older than me, the other sister is a year younger than me. The younger sister and I are really close.

My step siblings have no idea I was born a boy.. My mother only remarried after I was full time and had been on HRT for a few years all ready.
Enjoying ride the hormones are giving me... finally becoming the woman I always knew I was

Oldest of six, three sisters and then my two brothers. My mom had a miscarriage before becoming pregnant with me so the possibility of being a DES baby is real. She passed away from breast cancer years ago so no opportunity to ask her and verify she took the drug. She was a wonderful woman and I know she would have taken every precaution so that it would not occur again. Does not change anything for me, I am transgender and am living my life with that knowledge, and I have no problem accepting that. Peace, Love, and Hugs

A few years back I stumbled across "The Birth Order Book" http://www.drleman.com/store/the-birth-order-book.html while my wife was looking elsewhere in the local library. I popped it open to me and I was sold on the first sentence. Reading further there are plenty of generalities and the devil is always in the details. Details that also offered insights to other aspects of my behavior.

And speaking of details..... I think better insight into the spread can be had had by having "Last Born" rather then a number. I was shocked over the disparity with third borns (me) and wondered how many are really "The Baby of the Family", also me.

Within my support group, of the regular members I know well, there is no trend. First, middle, and last. Offhand, I tend to think more first and middle

1st born of small family
I'm the oldest of three. My sister is a few years younger than me while my brother is about 14 years younger.
To be who you want to be
and generally happy,
is better than to be who you're not
while living in mental pain.
