OK, this "it imposes on our religious freedom" argument has GOT to go. Their religious freedom ends where my rights and beliefs begin. How can it be a "religious freedom" to fire people based on a so-called holy text? Business is secular. I don't care if some bigot kicks me out of their church, that's fine, they have a right to do that. But when paychecks are involved, the playing field is open to anyone who can do the job.
What's next? Do they get to stone people to death too? Would preventing that be "imposing on our religious freedom?"
If these people want a taliban-like cuture, then they have no "right" living within a pluralistic society. They aren't "citizens." They're cult members, twisting and abusing a pluralistic society for their own ends. I just cannot believe that our government STILL endorses this insanity.
I am SO annoyed!
