Sharing some joy

Hi all,

I'm pretty quiet here, but about 12 months ago I posted a few things here when I started walking down this crazy road.  After struggling with my non-binary gender for a few years, I started taking action to be the real me.  Part of that included seeking mtf bottom surgery.

Cue the dozens of doctor visits, psychologists and psychiatric evaluations, and being told by a health care professional that "nobody would touch me".  Suffice to say, there were low times mixed in there.  But I have a wonderful supporting fiance, and a few really helpful and understanding friends.

And today I was told by my psychiatrist (recommended by a guardian angel on Susan's!) that he'd write my letter of support for bottom surgery.  I can't really express how it feels to see the big roadblock disappear... now the only thing between me and where I need to go is the waiting list.

So yeah... I just had to share my joy with people who would understand.  It's challenging being non-binary and seeking a partial transition, because you're so far off the beaten path nobody knows how to deal with you.  But stick with it, whatever your 'it' is, and I trust that you will get there.

   faith,

   -Kell
One day they woke me up; so I could live forever.

Why do human being always have to put things in neat little categories? Sometimes it just doesn't work that way. Congratulations for fighting for yourself. Congratulations on your success! YEA!

Nice one Kelb

I am so glad you got your approval. Sounds like it has been a rough ride to get there.
