I have noticed that some members give "Smites" for posts that merely express views which are different from their own.  As I read the policy "Smites" should be only given for gross violations of decency and TOS.  Thus, I suggest that giving of "Smites" should be restricted to select staff members.

Any other existing "Smites" could be removed when noticed or upon appeal to the specified staff.

Smites can be appealed to me and if I think it is unwarranted I shall remove it. Revenge smites I give back to the person using them.
