Hi I'm Stephanie. I'm a 38 year old mtf.  After years of denial and depression I've recently decided to transition.  I wish I did this sooner but at least it's never too late. This site looks like it's a nice place to learn and make friends and I hope to be able to give back and help someone else someday.

Welcome to Susan's Place. I think you will find this site to be useful and friendly. There are many people on the site who are transitioning a bit latter in life however you will find most every age group represented. I have worked with children as young as 12  and adults in the 60s and 70s.

I am sure you will find yourself giving back sooner than you think. People ask all sorts of questions. Some may be transition related and others might be employment or school related. You will find many of your life skills can be used to help others with most any problem they come up with.

If there is anything I can help you with, let me know.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

Hey Stephanie welcome!
Compared to me you are starting young, lol.
How are you finding your transition so far?

Thank you everyone.  I'm at the very beginning.  I had my 1st therapy appointment this past Monday, 1st laser appointment next week and the week after Dr. appointment to try to get started on hrt.  Other than that, I've been practicing my voice and trying to come out to family.

I waited on coming out to my family for several months -- for me, at least, having several months of "work" (therapy, hair removal, voice practice) under my wings made me much more confident and self-assured when it came time to telling them the news.
What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it.
