He never said he was trans. We shouldn't force labels onto people or make assumptions even when they've passed.

I'm not forcing anything on anyone. Actually, Burns did at one point come out as transgender but not transsexual, I remember reading about it when it happened. Maybe there was a change of mind later, but I think it's fair to say that regardless of how Burns identified, his appearance was overtly feminine and he worked hard and spent a lot of money to make himself look as feminine as possible. He's on record saying that he underwent the feminizing facial cosmetic surgery because he wouldn't be happy any other way. Sounds to me like he was dealing with gender identity issues.

Now that he is gone, I cannot look at his videos in quite the same way anymore...  I was so not expecting this for many more years...  But for some reason, it was time for him to go.

Years ago, he nearly died as a result of massive infection following a seriously botched cosmetic procedure. I wonder if that might have done permanent damage to his heart and contributed to his death today?

It's so sad that Pete's gone. Apparently, Boy George has offered to pay for the funeral costs. I remember when George and Pete were rivals during the 80s. I'm glad when they became friends years later. This is certainly very generous of George. Good for him!
