Is there anybody who is 1-2 years on who also had double incision and free nipple grafts who can speak to what to expect? My nipples are numb as expected. There's some discomfort around them, however, I guess because they are numb and a little bit of skin near them is numb and the rest isn't. I am also still getting--not full blown chest muscle spasms--but tightening and sub spasms and sometimes it also feels like the boobies are back but of course they're not. Can anyone talk about how this went for them, does it get better, time frames?

18 months post-op here. My nipples are numb. I have limited sensation in the kind of rectangle area extending from the top of my nipples to the bottom of my incisions all across the chest. I've had random tenderness, random shooting pains, random spasms.

They don't seem to be prompted by anything. Just random occurrences. Early on it was fairly often (maybe once a month or so), now, much less. I can't recall the last one I had. At least 6 months ago I think, probably right around the year mark.

I'm 14 months out. For the first seven months or so, I'd get random pangs of pain that felt a lot like the kind you get when you're too close to a heat source. There was also a lot of random tingling and 'electric'-like sensations.
I had a huge section on the inner portion of the right pec that was completely unable to feel temperature changes whatsoever--I remember getting ready to put on icy cold lotion and bracing myself only to experience nothing at all--and that didn't fix itself until about 8 months in. Now that same area has full tactile sensation, as well.
I'd say I have about 85% feeling along my scar lines, too, in the sense that I can feel very light touch as more than just a pressure sensation.
My right nipple graft somehow has a lot of sensation, too, but it was a little thinner than my left one. My left nipple is probably the numbest thing on my entire chest. I can only feel that there's pressure on it when something's touching it.

So yeah. I can feel a feather gliding along everything but my left nipple at this point. I'm not sure if I'll ever get any sort of sensation back in that area but I'm happy that everything else seems to have come along.
