SRS (MtF) Want to keep masculinity before and after surgery.

I am not sure where I fit in regarding this issue  I have so please move or request I take my business elsewhere if it does not belong here.

I am 19, Male. My thing is I want to have a vagina but still be masculine in the process. I have no real intention of transitioning. I like men with vaginas and women with penis's believe it or not. I find my penis always in the way and I just seem to dislike having it there. I have no idea what my issue with it is but I have always wanted my penis and testicles removed and wanted a vagina.

I have read about this since I was 14. So I believe myself to be very knowledgeable and not new to the subject. I understand the risks and understand that I will have to be taking Testosterone supplements for the rest of my life. I'm okay with that. But the WPATH Standards of Care do not seem to cater for this. Any advice from you guys?

Also, I would like to have a Urethral Reroute done behind my scrotum. If I intend to have surgery to turn my penis into a vagina will getting this done affect my surgery later down the track? I would plan to have my urethra rerouted ASAP if I can and then have vaginal surgery within the next 5-10 years. I have found nothing on this subject at all online so if you guys know of anything give us a shout.

Otherwise, what boards would you suggest I have a look at?

Welcome to Susan's Place. What you propose has been brought up a few times on the board but isn't very common. Your choice of surgeons will be limited as you will need to find one who is not bound to WPATH standards. This would tend to be more non binary in nature and there are gender therapist who could help you explore these feelings in addition to providing the documentation the surgeon might require.

There are two possible issues. The first is you might discover over time that you need a full transition and simple surgery isn't sufficient to fill your needs. Be prepared for this possibility.

The second issue is any bottom surgery should be cleared with the doctor who would create the vagina. If you have surgical alterations, the procedure you desire might not be possible. In addition, some surgeons might not be able to apply their procedure thus eliminating them from an already limited pool of surgeons.

I would suggest you seek out a gender therapist to determine the requirement, the surgeon and look at having a single procedure.
