Hello! I had a quick question on a possible side effect of both the above pills together. I just started taking finasteride about 10 or so days ago and beforhand spiro usually lowers my BP a ton and some days no matter how much salt I eat, water I drink I still am very dizzy but I started noticing a few days after taking them both together that after 30-40 minutes or so my entire body feels extremely exhausted, and really heavy, I'm assuming this is my body responding to pretty much all testosterone getting zapped from it? It usually eases up after a couple hours (I usually take my morning estradiol about 45 minutes after those 2. I know fatigue is pretty common but wasn't sure if something this moderate was common too. Thanks!

I was on finasteride for 2 years before starting spiro and estradiol pills. I have been taking both spiro and finasteride together for over a year and a half and never felt tired until I switched the estradiol to injections.

The pills could never get my estrogen levels very high, but the injections showed a dramatic increase. Thats also when the fatigue set in. I now take naps whenever I can.

Your exhaustion is most likely from the estrogen.

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately I don't think for me in particular it could really be the estrodiol as I've been taking the sublingual pills and spiro for just a few days short of 6 months now and wasn't until taking finasteride that I noticed the extreme exhaustion. I never can quite keep to a 3x 8 hours apart schedule with my estradiol pills so its usually more of a 6.5, 6.5, 11 hour spacing between each pill and by the time I take my first dose of the day with the 30-40 minutes after my spiro/fin I wonder if its just my body reacting to low hormone levels in general since my last lab was done at 2.5 months my estradiol level was 93 (I got tested a few hours after taking it that day) which I read is closer to the low side but bleh I'm just ranting on typing things that I probably have no clue what I'm talking about haha

What you seem to be saying is that only since finasteride has been added, you are feeling exhausted. Finasteride will reduce DHT levels as well as several neurosteroids that have cognitive, emotional functions in the brain so that it may be a result of all this or part of this. Maybe an adjustment period is needed. I would bring it up with your doctor ASAP and see what they have to say. That's your best bet. Speculation will lead nowhere...
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience
