In preparation for my month long trip to Thailand coming in January, I am prepping for any eventualities.
I have added a cloud backup service to the server! I have also already lined up two on call people who will be able to come to deal with server issues, if there is a problem while I am gone.
In the event of a catastrophic situation (fire, tornado, or anything else) while I am gone, the remote backup will ensure that there is no data loss.
I also intend to purchase a decent laptop which will hopefully allow me to maintain the server as much as possible myself during that time.
The cloud backup service will be a small increase in my monthly expenses, but I do not currently plan on passing that along to the members as part of the monthly goal.
