I know lipstick can look great , but I find it way too annoying to have to continuously apply it whenever you drink  or kiss etc. I never wear it because of the annoy factor. Just wondering if the constant need to apply bothers others.

I don't wear lipstick because it makes your lips dry. I wear pink lipgloss everyday.

I also do lip gloss or more commonly tinted lip balm more than lipstick. Don't mind frequently reapplying it.

It's part of my everyday/business look makeup.

Let's see...

Ben Nye concealer and corrector on the upper lip and a few patches
Tarte clay foundation (liquid)
Stilla blush and bronzer
Stilla Aqua Glow concealer around the eyes
Stilla pallet of eye colors
Smudge pen for the eyeliner and wet line, usually Stilla
Mascara for the lashes
Stilla Stay All Day brow color
Stilla Stay All Day matte lipstick in Papillon, sometimes with a glosser
Setting powder on top to bake the eye colors and hold it all together longer.

Maybe 15-20 minutes to do my face, and it holds up pretty well for 10 hours or so. Mostly I stuck with that one brand as the pallete looked more consistent in my own opinion.  I have some decent brushes I use to apply this stuff.

Edit: I'm full-time, and do things like teach technical classes, as well as doing occasional consulting gigs, chairing meetings, and whatnot.  Yeah, I dove into the Real Life Experience head first.  I just wish someone hadn't drained the pool...

I'm not quite ready for lipstick yet, but I was leaning more towards lipgloss myself.

i prefer lip stain.  Sephora Always Red is what I'm wearing in my avatar picture.  It doesn't come off easily, unless you're eating greasy foods. No lipstick stains on cocktail glasses or men's collars or faces.

I love the feel and ritual of lipstick. This includes touching it up throughout the day. If I am wearing a strong color I will often use a lip stain that holds for long periods and put some gloss on over it. It is just one of the fun easy parts of it all that gives me pleasure. - Anne

I blame Harley Quinn.  ;)  She got me to up my game.

I'm competing in the Senior Citizen category, though.  I need all that just to keep pieces from falling off of me.

Yes!  I am constantly touching up my lips, or checking my makeup. In the car, in a restaurant, or anywhere I have to kill time.  Primping is soothing.

I just googled the stain. that looks like something I'll try.

I used to primarily wear colord lip gloss. I would re-apply after lunch and stuff. I got it into my head I just didn't like the way I looked with full on lipstick for some reason.

Anyway years later, my bestie got me wearing lipstick again.....I tend to stick to lip stains though cuz they last longer. Still have to re-apply but not nearly as often.

Lipstick is so easy to use, and you can get the kind that stays on for hours, my personal favorite is maybelline 14 hour 👄
