Question about women's swimsuits (sorry if I sound rude)

I have to ask this question about women's swimwear and being "attractive" or "hot".

Do women (trans-or-cis) absolutely have to be stunning, "hot", conventionally attractive, or other descriptions to look "good" in a swimsuit? This applies to both one-pieces and bikinis also.

For example, can a skinny, but "average"-looking girl pull off wearing a tiny bikini?

I don't see why that would have to be the case. I do believe though that it is almost certainly something is subjective based on what one's view of good looking is. Hugs

I know, but our wide society loves to dictate what looks good or not.

When I was young and hot, I wore a bikini.  I found I looked best in a halter-top with wide straps.

Now that I'm older and heavier, I've switched to a skirted one-piece.

As with anything you put on your body, it takes trying a lot of different things to see what works for you.
What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it.

I bought a bikini about a year post-op.  I passed publicly without issue, but I honestly looked horrible in both bikinis and one pieces.  Now, if we head to the jacuzzi, I stick to a tankini or something that generally keeps me a little more covered up.

Here in my country (S. Korea), women are extremely preoccupied with their look in bikini, and very few women dare to wear it. It may be a cultural one, but most women in bikini are underweight. In some beaches, I sometimes become the only one who is wearing bikini. But nowadays, I saw more women in bikini with an average body figure.

Just do it.

I really do enjoy wearing swimsuits and I am nowhere close to even making the transition into becoming a woman but I just love how they feel and make me feel about myself. I guess I am more of a one piece girl than a two piece or a bikini but would love to try one on and see how it feels but I am pretty bulky as a person so I feel like it would be like a beached whale wearing a bikini, it wouldn't look that good.

have worn a bikini in the past and would love to have a body that would need one and a place to wear it.
