May I give a bit of unwanted advice? I know I should put a helmet on for this one, but can you maybe choose a real life picture as an ideal instead of a plastic doll? A plastic doll like in that picture is artificial - unless you really want to look artificial it is not a great idea in my harsh opinion to pick such an image to illustrate the goals.

Coming from someone (me) who has really bad Facial Dysphoria (FD), I can honestly say I understand exactly what the quote above means.  I agree with her. You should not look to a plastic mannequin head as reference for FFS.  We are saying this out of love for our Trans sisters here.  However, I really do get you and your concerns.  We're just looking out for you.   ;D

You may want to do some research on FFS if you haven't.  Also there is a Virtual FFS site (Not sure the exact site name) but it will give you a plethora of info concerning FFS and facial measurements.

Just my two cents.

Hugs and I wish you the best!

On a side note, regarding Jaw work, I don't know much about US surgeons but I have seen an amazing result from Zukowski. He did the FFS of Raiden Quinn, a Youtube vlogger. Her jaw is amazing. I believe he did a double jaw, as she talks about this in her video:

Would love to know how much US surgeons ask for such procedure.

There certainly are orthognatic surgeons in US that are doing what Koreans call "two jaw surgery" ... And no, Zukowski isn't one of them, he is a plastic surgeon. On the other hand, Dr. Deschamps Braly is specialized in orthognatic surgery.

Sorry for the delayed response. I was on a road trip to LA from Denver to meet Dr Harrison Lee and two other doctors for butt/hip augmentation.

Anjaq: You are right. I shouldn't use those mannequin pics as a baseline and but only did because I was able to take shots of her perfect forehead from all different angles. It's tough to find forehead photos of trans girls online from all angles. I tried to find forehead pics of cis girls that I like, but got overwhelmed since I like so many of them and their forehead comes in all shapes and form but they still look very feminine in most cases.

Warlocker: thanks, yes I will definitely post in the forums if I decide to go to Korea.

2cherry: thanks again. It took me a long time to realize that it wasn't necessarily the width of my jaw but its height that gives the masculine look. I naively believed  basic FFS would solve all the problems. But post FFS when I still saw hints of masculinity in myself that I often see in other tgirls too post FFS, I started to see the height of the jaw as a big factor. I know there's ways to camouflage it using cheek implants or adding volume to mid face, but I am not quite sure which way to go. Dr Lee whose a maxiofacial surgeon doesn't think my mouth protrusion  or jaw height is an issue at all. He recommend cheek implants, sliding genioplasty to bring the chin forward horizontally and slight jaw reduction.

Uriahheep: You are right that Raiden Quinn didn't have double jaw surgery. I think just basic jaw angle reduction. And as far as I know Dr Deschamps and Dr MDM are the only FFS surgeons that also offer double jaw surgery.

Karma girl: love your screen name. Thanks for your advise and I appreciate your concern. I do realize that if that plastic doll is my reference for facial feminity, I am setting myself up for failure, a battle I will never win. Congratulations of your FFS journey and amazing results. I am considering going to Argentina as well.

Jenn90210: my Ffs surgeon was Dr Deschamps Braly. I was pleased with the outcome of the surgery but felt I wanted more work done to look as attractive as possible. I was willing to choose him again for my 2nd surgery but he didn't think I needed anything more and didn't really want to operate again on me for what I wanted.

Initially I was almost about to choose Dr Harrison Lee for my 2nd surgery. Then thought I want a dramatic jaw chin transformation(like Jenna Talackova) and wanted to go to Korea. But then one of the girls from Here sent her forehead pics done by MDM and it's the best forehead I have ever seen. After that, I saw Dr Lee in person and was very pleased by him, his office and everything else. I also saw famous trans youtuber Nikita dragon in person at Dr Lee office. He had done her Ffs a few months ago and she looked great.

I am confused between these three options:

1. Choose MDM for forehead, jaw thinning, genioplasty and cheek implants. His price quote is almost 50% cheaper than Dr Lee. Maybe this will be enough and I won't need double jaw surgery
2. Choose MDM for only forehead and cheeks implants and go to Korea for jaw/chin.
3. Choose Dr Lee for forehead, cheek implants, jaw thinning and genioplasty.

Anyways thanks in advance for your input. It's greatly appreciated.

Well - in my opinion, this is food for thought, isn't it? If you see that these cis women look feminine anyways with the forehead not perfect as a plastic doll, it whould show you that maybe it is ok to have a regular female forehead and not one of a doll? You obviously have not a masculine forehead now after your first FFS - if it is well within the range of the cis women foreheads you saw, maybe its ok to just leave it as it is?

I would also not look for trans women to search for how you want to look like - why would you want to look like other trans women who also have that look because of surgeries - why not rather look at the cis women, as this is what it really should look like

Regarding further surgeries - I usually would prefer a single surgeon for the procedures as then he can make them in tune - if each part is designed by someone else, it may not fit as well together. Its an art after all, not an engineering task.

Hiya, have you considered PAI in Bangkok? I've just FFS with Dr Sutin and think he has done a superb job.

Good luck with your choice.

If I were you I would get cheek implants, have the upper orbital bones shaved down a little bit (if possible, if not then use filler in the forehead) and call it done.

But then again, after more than half a lifetime of deprivation, I am pretty easy to please.  I cried with happiness when I bought my first pack of women's panties two years ago.

Thank you all again for your suggestions and advice. I have decided not to pursue going to Korea due to mixed reviews, reading about botched results, shady practices and surgeon swapping in the OR. Plus I don't feel I really need double jaw surgery and want to avoid it at all cost. I think the conventional FFS jaw slimming  and chin reduction would do it for me in addition to orbital rims shaving and cheek implants or fat transfer to cheeks. Maybe also eyelid surgery down the road for bigger brighter eyes.

Anjaq: you are correct in that i should go to a single surgeon for my entire face.

I just have to decide between Dr Harrison Lee, Dr MDM and Dr Z.

Rachel,

Congratulations on your amazing results. PAI seems very cool. I definitely have added them on my list for SRS.

I can relate with you on being pretty easy to please part. I am very similar in most aspects of my life except having to accept hints of masculinity in my outer appearance. It crushes my confidence from inside and the dysphoria prevents me from living a active happy life. My mind is constantly obsessed by the flaws in my face which makes me very insecure and always in a bubble, not present in the current. The other part is that I have done very well careerwise but always had a very empty life (without any family, friends) with the exception of my husband. My transition has pushed him far from me and now I feel like if I compromise with the quality of my transition or my physical apprearance then I have nothing left.

Good to hear that.  :)

Yes, we can be so harsh on ourselves... from what I've seen, your pictures, I already saw a beautiful female face. But I know, no matter how much someone tells me the exact same thing, I won't believe them. It's depressing, for sure. But indeed, it's about what we want. If something gives us dysphoria, we should have the right to change that. Even if the results looks minimal to someone else. We have to live with our faces...

I wish you good luck.
