I was roommates with a transman in the hospital (he even showed me a picture of his meta after he got back from surgery...hilarious that he did that!), and he was my best friend through the entire recovery. We stay in touch to this day (he just texted me as I am writing this. lol) and my wife and I went and stayed with him in Quebec last fall. Amazing friendship from such a journey. Not sure why, but I never connected with any of the girls while I was at Asclepiad. I found most of them to be catty and very superficial. And, my wife came every day during visiting hours and i just hung out with her. Maybe it was me, and not them. *shrug*
