I just finished reading ->-bleeped-<-: Confessions of Punk Rock's Most Infamous Anarchist Sellout, the autobiography of Against Me! frontwoman Laura Jane Grace.

Wow.

I bought it on Tuesday, but didn't start reading it until Thursday. I'm done now. I couldn't put it down. It made me cry repeatedly. Reading about her struggles with dysphoria, how she would keep a bag of women's clothes in the back of her closet, and the shame she felt, all resonated with me in a big way. To read so fully someone else's experience, and how they reflect my own in so many ways was precisely what I needed this week. I could not have found her, and the book, at a better time in my life.

I highly recommend it, regardless of if you're a fan of her band, or even punk music, at all. It's so much more personal than that.

Also, she was 31 when she began to transition, just like me. Makes me think there might be hope for me yet.
