If you mean songs that are explicitly about transitioning i genuinely don't know any...

BUT if you mean songs that through their lyrics make me think of transitioning well there is only one choice :D

I don't think i'm allowed to link a video because i'm pretty new here but the song is "46 and 2" by Tool.

and yes i'm going to risk it. Because life really is too short lol :P

Yeah totally makes me think of my transition and the changes I've gone through :)

How has this one not made the trans hit parade?

"I'm no longer doubtful of what I'm livin' for . . ."

Contravene

Metamorphosis by Blue Stahli.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtGA-xcL958&sns=em

I feel it right at the heart of me
and it grips me physically

Dragging down so far below
And it's a violent vertigo

Digging it in like a parasite
Feeding off what I keep inside

Manifest when I'm throwing trust
To the cold and the nebulous

Something's changing
Re-arranging me
Just beginning
my own surgery

I'll cut away everything
And tear away everything

Confining
Defining

I'll cut away everything
And tear away everything

And I'll escape myself

I cast off what it means to be
Ruled by the happening

Moving past the experience
Never dwell on the evidence

Breaking it off of the identity
I come and kill it when I contravene

I'm dissolving all of this
In the full metamorphosis

Something's changing
Re-arranging me
Amputating
what I no longer need

A lot of the lyrics remind me of the struggle with dysphoria, especially in the first couple lines. The rest I imagine are about shedding your old identity and the physical and/or metaphorical surgery needed to leave behind the dysphoria with your old identity which I can relate to with transitioning.

I got my username, Contravene, from the song since I was listening to it when I signed up here and I've always had some of the lyrics as a quote in my profile.

His songs in general is usually pretty powerful and nefarious sounding which is what I love about them but this one struck a chord with me when I got to thinking about it.

What I hear when I listen to this song, is to always be both honest & true to yourself whether people like it or not.

"There are many who would take my time. I shun them.
There are some who share my time. I am entertained by them.
There are precious few who contribute to my time. I cherish them."

-Anton Szandor LaVey

There are many things I love about the song my favourite has to be this

"I see the magazine workin' that Photoshop
We know that ->-bleeped-<- ain't real, come on now, make it stop
If you got beauty, beauty, just raise 'em up
'Cause every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top"

From the Disney movie Mulan ;D

"Somehow I cannot hide
Who I am, though I've tried.
When will my reflection show, who I am, inside?"

Not really a song about transition,
But when I came out to my mother in 75/76 she would sing the song "Georgy Girl" to me.
Always loved that my mother so accepted me, and was taking control of my life.

Not a transition song, but this one really hits me in the feels:

I miss Damone....

There's a world out there, just waiting
If you only let go what's inside
Live every moment, give it your all, enjoy the ride

Joni Mitchell "I've looked at life from both sides now"

(literally)  I know that it is not really themed for that but its perfect to me.

Great thread!  Not a song so much as a strong, memorable theme that really encapsulates my transition:
